gameaki, known for Train Hero, and more has announced the launch of their 2D platform shooter title, Shotgun Joe – Love & Monsters, now available on Android. There is no information yet regarding an iOS launch.
Shoot down monsters and enemies across the world to rescue your fiancée
So, gameaki is back with its 5th title, and this time it’s a vibrant 2D platform shooter inspired by retro arcade games called Shotgun Joe – Love & Monsters. You play as Shotgun Joe of course, a small-town guy traveling across the world to collect missing parts for the teleportation device and rescue your wife.
Lore-wise, a sudden alien invasion changes everything when your fiancée Annabel is abducted by a flying saucer. That’s your reason for battling through dangerous worlds full of monsters and enemies. While the narrative is quite light-hearted, I think it’s still fun since each location brings new threats and fast-paced action.
Overall, this blend of side-scrolling shooter gameplay, vibrant visuals and skill-based action looks really fun to dive into, especially thanks to the zombie filled shooter levels, gothic worlds, Dinosaur shooter stages, challenging enemy patterns, weapon upgrades, power-ups, and even offline gameplay.
Shotgun Joe – Love & Monsters is now available on Android, and you can download the game via the Google Play Store. Unfortunately, there is no information yet regarding an iOS launch, so stay tuned!
