MOONTON Games has launched a closed beta test for their upcoming Gothic-style 2D RPG, Silver and Scarlet, currently running in China for mobile. Previously, the game conducted a test in Japan and the United States under the name of Silver and Blood on September 19, 2024.

Silver and Scarlet, formerly known as Silver and Blood, is a fast-paced 2D strategy RPG set in a medieval Gothic world, featuring over 45 characters known as Vassals. These characters are divided into four unique factions, each with its backstory, personality, and abilities.
You play as vampires with melanoma, and not the typical hunter, which adds a fresh twist to the plot. I am looking forward to its auto-chess-type gameplay, where you strategically place your characters on a nine-square grid before the battle begins.

The gameplay looks engaging, allowing you to optimize your lineup by adding new characters or upgrading the star of existing ones to face enemies and huge vampire-type dragons. The game’s atmosphere is enhanced by Gothic art style, anime-style characters, and fully animated cutscenes.
According to a report from 3839, a small-scale domestic closed beta test for Silver and Scarlet began in China on February 20, 2025. The game’s official accounts have been registered on platforms like Bilibili and Douyin, and it received its version number in October 2024.
