- Lord of the Mysteries is a dark mysticism-based MMORPG set in an ancient European setting.
- The game is built on Unreal Engine 5 and confirmed for a global release on mobile and PC.
- The city looks pretty lively with various NPC characters and background activities, different parts to explore, and more.
SPARK NEXA has finally dropped an official gameplay footage of their highly-anticipated mysticism-themed MMORPG, Lord of Mysteries. First revealed in September 2024, this is an officially licensed title based on the web novel Lord of Mysteries by Cuttlefish That Loves Diving.
The devs brought the Tingen city to life using Unreal Engine 5
I recently completed the Lord of Mysteries doghua, and this new gameplay reveal has made me even more excited for the game. Like I’m really impressed by how detailed the city of Tingen city looks with its ancient European-style streets, horse-drawn carriages, and more. And this also feels very close to what I saw in the doghua.
Plus, the use of Unreal Engine 5 is visible in the lighting, textures, and overall visuals and aesthetics. And judging by the footage, the devs have seem to have capture the same blend of steampunk and supernatural elements that made the anime so loveable in the first place.
A lively world like AC titles with solid world-building and depth
Watching the footage made me realise how much I miss playing Assassin’s Creed games as they were my favorite at one point. The outfits, character designs, background NPC activities, detailed raining, city layout, and everything looks very lively and cool, and I’m sure it will be fun to explore the huge ancient European open world.
After this, I can’t wait to dive into this game, as the gameplay reveal shows a lot of promise. So, I just really hope the devs deliver on what they’ve just shown us. Because I feel this title has what it takes to compete against many AAA titles if done right, right from world-building, stunning visuals, immersive RPG elements, and even crossplatform play.
