Netflix Games and Spry Fox announced their upcoming cozy cooperative life simulation MMO, Spirit Crossing, set to launch on both Android and iOS sometime around this year. You can currently sign up for the Closed Alpha playtest of Spirit Crossing but do note you will need an active Netflix subscription.

Spirit Crossing is a cozy, cooperative life simulation MMO centered around friendship and community. In this game, you can explore a vibrant world, decorate your home, enjoy building with your friends, ride on a whimsical Fluffalo train, or join lively dance parties and jam sessions.
I am very excited about this title, especially since it’s being developed by Spry Fox, the award-winning studio behind Cozy Grove, Cozy Grove: Camp Spirit, Alphabear, and Triple Town. You can also look forward to Netflix’s upcoming titles like The Electric State: Kid Cosmo, Steel Paws, and WWE 2K Mobile.
What makes this more exciting is that this is Netflix’s first-ever MMO, following their acquisition of Spry Fox in 2022. Knowing that the studio has been working on this ambitious project for over four years only adds to my anticipation.
How to sign up for the Spirit Crossing Closed Alpha Playtest
Although much information isn’t available yet, the game does look promising based on its trailer. The art style is visually captivating and I feel it’s inspired by Mr. Miyazaki’s Studio Ghibli, whose films I love.
