SQUARE ENIX and NHN PlayArt have announced their upcoming 3v3 team boss battle arena title, DISSIDIA DUELLUM FINAL FANTASY, set to launch on both Android and iOS in 2026. The game is also gearing up for a closed beta test from November 7 to 14 on Android in the US, Canada, and Japan.
Dive into 3v3 team boss battles with iconic characters
Before beginning, for those unfamiliar, Dissidia FINAL FANTASY is an iconic title that first launched in 2008, on the PlayStation Portable, to celebrate the series’ 20th anniversary. It brought together heroes and villains from across the franchise for fast-paced battles.
Now, DISSIDIA DUELLUM FINAL FANTASY is the latest entry in this series, featuring a 3v3 team boss battle arena. Here, two teams clash alongside roaming monsters, racing to defeat the boss faster than the rivals. Plus, the action comes live with stunning cel-shaded graphics.
Set in modern-day Tokyo, the story brings together warriors from across the Final Fantasy universe. A giant crystal appears in the city, blending into daily life, until strange monsters emerge and terror speaks. The good news is armed warriors called Ghosts step in to confront and defeat them.
Players can choose from various roles and use abilities
In gameplay, you can choose from four roles: Ranged, Melee, Support, and Agile to hunt monsters near the crystal to purify it, gain Bravery, and unleash powerful attacks at maximum Bravery. I’m personally impressed by the abilities, all nicely illustrated by popular artists, which makes the experience better.
Overall, the game is looking very promising at the moment, offering 3v3 team boss battles, a fully Japanese-voiced main story, short episodes, a new story, the Bravery mechanic, various roles, outfits, memrias, iconic characters like Kain Highwind, Terra Branford, Lightning, and more.
DISSIDIA DUELLUM FINAL FANTASY is set to launch on both Android and iOS in 2026. You can also sign up for the upcoming closed beta test via this link. It will begin from November 7 to 14 in the US, Canada, and Japan. The exact launch date is yet to be announced, so stay tuned!
