Crunchyroll, LLC has announced the launch of their suspenseful adventure RPG STEINS;GATE, now available on both Android and iOS, via Crunchyroll. You have to be a Mega Fan or Ultimate Fan Crunchyroll Premium member to play this title.
Immerse yourself in a time-travel-based adventure
STEINS;GATE is an adventure RPG based on time travel, taking place in Akihabara. If you are unaware, STEINS;GATE is a renowned science-fiction interactive visual novel created by 5pb. and Nitroplus in 2009 and part of the Science Adventure franchise.
In this game, you can play as one of the six characters, with each having various endings. The storyline is very captivating revolving mainly around science fiction, following a disorganized group of tech-savvy young students, who can change the past through mail, by using a modified microwave. Things quickly become serious, when SERN gets involved.

I have previously watched the anime series, and I am genuinely interested in trying this game, which also features a phone trigger system, allowing you to receive calls and messages, and change the outcome of the game’s plot by either replying or just ignoring them. I like the fact that the plot progresses depending on your choices and responses.
Additionally, it includes an original plot by Chiyomaru Shikura, who created and worked on all 6 main entries in the Science Adventure series. I am also happy that the game includes full voice acting, which is crucial for a game based on the award-winning novel.
