- mo.co community manager confirms the game is safe despite low earnings and rumours.
- The team focuses on feedback and improvements, not revenue right now.
mo.co, the monster-hunting action RPG from Supercell, has been in the news for a long while now, and most of you readers know what it is. Many players started worrying about mo.co and its shut down, but it has been clarified that such a decision will not be taken.
After Supercell confirmed that Squad Busters will shut down next year, João Freitas, the Community Manager for mo.co, shared an update via X where he made it very clear that the game isn’t at risk. Joao explained that low revenue is a part of the long-term plan.
The team is focused on a major revamp called neo mo.co for early 2026
The team’s goal right now isn’t to make big profits but to gather player feedback, analyze gameplay behavior, and improve the experience step by step. According to him, Supercell hasn’t invested much in promoting mo.co yet, as they’re keeping the player base small to refine the game before scaling up.
He also revealed that mo.co’s global launch wasn’t meant to be a huge celebration but rather a way to make the game accessible to everyone without region locks or VPNs. The invite-only system that controlled early growth was later lifted once things stabilized, showing how carefully the team wants to expand the game.
It wasn’t a surprise to know that mo.co players were worried about its shutdown. Alongside Squad Busters, mo.co is currently the least-earning Supercell game, according to sources, and with a longer roadmap of updates for its fresh revamp, something Squad Busters also did, concerns are common.
Right now, the developers are busy reworking the core systems under a revamp called neo mo.co, which aims to fix earlier design issues and improve player retention. Joao confirmed that this isn’t a make-or-break moment but an important step toward building a stronger base for future updates.

The team is confident about launching the new version in the first quarter of 2026, though the timeline might change. So that version will define how mo.co’s future looks. If you ask me, this is an ambitious project and has a lot of potential, hope it lives up to it.
