A lot of info is still not revealed at the moment but the official website has put a storyline on board. Fortunately, Kirito is not completely unfamiliar with the title. It is not surprising that the game has a lot of attention since it was allegedly created by a middle schooler.
Kirito hears rumors about Cross Edge one day at the Dicey Café. In the first scenario, there is a mysterious player who suddenly attacks. If you are defeated by them, a portion of your memory is lost. In the second scenario, the player wears a hood pulled low over their eyes.
As Kirito remembers Laughing Coffin, the player-killer clan he faced in SAO, he feels a pang of nostalgia. Kirito and his friends play Cross Edge as a way of researching these rumors and soon discover that they are the targets of a surprise attack.
Bandai Namco to reveal more info next month
The first trailer of the SAO Variant showdown is out today and we should be ready to take out our swords for the time has come to begin the showdown. This game will be available on Android and iOS and is free to play but a few items are available for the in-app purchase.
Additionally, the official website offers information in a variety of languages, including English, Mandarin Chinese, Korean, and French. Not many details are still out regarding characters or more but on April 2, 2022, Bandai Namco Entertainment will broadcast a live stream in which more details will be revealed.
