TEPPEN is shutting down on March 30, 2026, with an offline version confirmed

A goodbye!

Story Highlights
  • TEPPEN will end online service on March 30, 2026, after nearly seven years.
  • An offline version will be released, allowing access to cards and play data.
  • In-game purchases will be gradually disabled starting December 22, 2025.

TEPPEN, the free-to-play digital collectible card game developed by GungHo Online Entertainment and Capcom, is shutting down on March 30, 2026. The announcement was shared through an end-of-service notice, bringing the game’s nearly 7-year run to a close.

The offline version will launch on the same day TEPPEN shuts down

Since its release in April 2019, TEPPEN has been a fan favourite, thanks to its engaging gameplay and the inclusion of Capcom’s biggest franchises such as Street Fighter, Monster Hunter, Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, Mega Man, and more. While the shutdown comes as a surprise, there is still something positive to take away.

An offline version will be released through an application update on the same day service ends. The benefit of this offline mode is that it will allow you to view your past play data and continue using the cards you have collected across various offline game modes.

The offline mode will have Hero Stories and Adventure modes, battle CPU opponents, and freely edit decks without Soul limits. You can explore card archives, past tournament records, profile customisation, and the game’s original opening movie.

In terms of the shutdown timeline, in-game currency purchases will end first on December 22, 2025, followed by the end of card pack purchases and jewel exchanges in early March 2026.

After the offline update becomes available, you will have until April 29, 2026, to download the app or apply the offline update. Support for the game and the official website will fully end by July 30, 2026.

TEPPEN’s sunset is surely a disappointment, given the flow of mobile game shutdowns we are witnessing. Still, the makers have two strong projects in Disney Pixel RPG and PUZZLE & DRAGONS 0, banked by a strong IP, so I hope they will deliver great experiences in the future.
