The game is currently scheduled for a 2023 release in Japan with no update about a global release date. UserJoy is a known developer of the mobile game The Legend of Heroes: Akatsuki no Kiseki which was released in 2016. Since its release, the game has been ported to various other devices.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Northern War mobile will follow in the footsteps of the anime
The game will follow a similar setting to the upcoming anime series The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Northern War. In the anime, a war between Erebonia and North Ambria takes place. The story follows the adventures of a girl named Lavian Winslet. The game’s timeline will follow the events that took place in a time skip between the games Trails of Cold Steel II and III.
Lavian Winslet is the granddaughter of Vlad, a renowned hero known for betraying North Ambria. She enlists the help of the largest mercenary group around the Northern Jaegers to reclaim her country’s honor and defend her country in a reckless mission against the Erebonian Empire.
The game will feature a new playable story and various unique characters
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Northern War mobile game features a story mode based on the events in anime. It will also bring a new playable story and unique characters. The ARCUS II system from Trails of Cold Steel III is also included in the game. This will allow players to explore the in-game world swiftly while advancing through the story.
The game will also include a map of the world in which Northern War is set in. The anime series is currently set to release on January 8, 2023. The developers are also planning to release the The Legend of Heroes game in 2023 but as of now, there’s no date announced for the release.
