September 2025 was another dynamic month for the global mobile gaming industry, and it can also be said as a surprise. We definitely saw a lot of tumbling in the rankings compared to last month, and a few fresh entries. Let us look into it in detail.
Top Mobile Games by Downloads for September 2025
Roblox extended its dominance, securing the top spot with 24.6 million downloads, proving its unmatched appeal across both younger and creative audiences. Block Blast followed with 17.9 million installs, maintaining its reputation as one of the most addictive puzzle titles of the year.
Subway Surfers held third with 17 million downloads, an impressive feat for a game over a decade old. The breakout hit Prison Master: Escape Ready climbed to fourth, racking up 14.7 million downloads, and turned out to be a massive surprise in this list.

Rounding out the top five was Pizza Ready!, which attracted 12.6 million downloads, fueled by its simple yet satisfying restaurant simulation loop. Ludo King stayed consistent in sixth, while Clash Royale returned to the top 10 at seventh with 11.3 million installs, and it doesn’t seem to slow down.
Other notable performers included Vita Mahjong at eighth and Free Fire at ninth, both maintaining their positions in the top 15. Candy Crush Saga once again proved its evergreen popularity, ranking tenth with 9.2 million downloads.
Completing the top 15 were some new faces: 8 Ball Pool, Free Fire Max, FPS Strike Ops, Tile Club – Match Puzzle Game, and My Talking Tom 2 from Outfit7, on the bank of our beloved Talking Tom Cat, getting an amazing remaster.
Top Mobile Games by Revenue for September 2025
In terms of revenue, we have a new Number 1. Roblox reigned supreme with $122.2 million. Last War: Survival followed closely with $117.7 million, marking another strong month for the strategy-survival hybrid.
Honor of Kings’ reign at #1 ended for the first time since March, where it ended fifth. Last month, it secured third place with $115.7 million, but remains Tencent Games‘ flagship performer.
Whiteout Survival continued its climb in the strategy genre, taking fourth with $109 million, while Royal Match completed the top five at $106.2 million, cementing Dream Games’ steady growth in the puzzle space.

MONOPOLY GO! ranked sixth with $88.9 million while Candy Crush Saga continued its dominance in casual gaming, earning $80.6 million for the month. Further down the list, PUBG Mobile achieved $76.6 million, while Clash Royale saw yet another impressive revenue run with $68.6 million.
Kingshot, debuting in the top 10 with $66.4 million, reflected growing player interest in competitive shooting experiences. Outside the top ten, Gossip Harbor: Merge & Story and Delta Force both crossed the $58 million mark, while Coin Master, Township, and Last Z: Survival Shooter rounded out the top 15.
