Perfect World Games, a subsidiary of Hotta Studios, has introduced the Tower of Fantasy Dev’s Vision series to celebrate its return, sharing the development team’s long-term vision and plans. They discussed community concerns, upcoming content, their self-publishing strategy, and even addressed the EoS meme.
Tower of Fantasy Vision series: Hotta Studio shares its upcoming plans along with ToF
With Tower of Fantasy (ToF) now published by Perfect World Games instead of Level Infinite, the ToF team has introduced the Vision series on YouTube, aiming to share their plans with the global community.
In the first episode, key members from Hotta Studio were present, including Sky, the Lead designer, Quan, the Narrative designer, Yuan, the Concept designer, Chuan, the Animator, and Jiang, the Modeler. They outlined the future direction of Tower of Fantasy (ToF), also highlighting their commitment to long-term development and global publishing, starting this year.
Sky emphasized, “Hotta Studio team’s commitment to the game is same as before,” assuring the fanbase of continued high-quality content and service. Now self-publishing, the team aims to improve our experience and improve their publishing system, striving “for long-term value and ongoing evolution.”
Addressing Community Concerns and EoS memes
In their Q&A session, where they collected the community’s top concerns, they addressed them one by one, while maintaining transparency, even addressing all the End of Service (EoS) memes regarding both the game and Hotta Studio. They don’t plan to shutdown the game anytime soon.
Account Transfer and Server changes
Mr. Sky revealed about upcoming changes to the servers, adding, “to ensure we can provide a more stable and higher-quality gaming experience.” This change also marks a new phase in ToF’s development. They have encouraged you to transfer your account for a smooth transition.
Content Updates and new Modes
Mr. Jiang revealed upcoming content, including new story chapters, maps, simulacrum, and various modes with future versions. Additionally, the new publishing team is working on improving localizations and voiceovers. He added, “We will continue maintaining the gaming experience for all Authorizers.“
Community Operations
Chuan shared that the new publishing team will continue to engage with the ToF community, ensuring player feedback is heard and taken seriously, while also bringing more exciting events. She revealed, “the exclusive player community for the Global Server version of ToF is also part of our development plan.”
Special Events and Celebrations
To celebrate ToF’s return, the devs have announced special content and rewards in version 4.7, including a two-month event with return login sign-ins, limited-time events, and more. Upcoming version 5.0 and Third-anniversary celebration
The team teased version 5.0 and the upcoming third-anniversary celebration, promising to introduce new features, characters, rewards, and more thrilling content. They also hinted at a special surprise for the 3rd Anniversary in the CN server for the Global Server’s return.
