COLOPL, the popular Japanese game developer, known for Neko Golf, has announced their upcoming project. The action RPG is titled Volzerk: Monsters and Lands Unknown and is scheduled for a release in late January this year, in the Japanese language with both mobile and PC support.
The team also shared that English language support in the game will be made available via a future update.
Volzerk: Monsters and Lands Unknown is an adventure to discover legendary monsters
Titled Monster Universe in Japan, the game will be focusing on the island of Fort Lemuria, which is a residence of mysterious creatures and monsters. The story dates back to the island guardian Volzerk, who clashed with the legendary beast Magna, and both were apparently destroyed. This left the island and the inhabitants unguarded.
Players will experience an adventure with a young protagonist in Fina. Players will have to raise these monsters on the island, which will help them to ease off enemies they face. The game allows players to raise the monsters of their choosing and give out different abilities.
Plenty of weapon types to choose from to bring down foes while switching the characters at the right moment, exposing the weakness of the enemy. Mix and match monsters to get the better of the combination is also possible. You can watch the Steam trailer below:
Also, the game will be free-to-play, as announced by the makers which will have in-app purchase options for collecting game resources. The game will be available on both Android and Apple platforms.
