Bushiroad Games has announced their new survivor-like roguelite action title, HUNTER×HUNTER NEN×SURVIVOR, set to launch globally in February 17, 2026 on both Android and iOS. Jointly developed by WonderPlanet, it is based on the iconic anime and manga series.
Form a team of your favorite characters and clear waves of enemies using Nen
Hunter x Hunter fans are about to eat well, as HUNTER×HUNTER NEN×SURVIVOR is set to arrive next year. This will be the very first survival roguelite title based on the series, letting you control your favorite characters like Killua, Hisoka, Netero, and more and take on waves of enemies.
For those new, HXH is written by Yoshihiro Togashi, the legendary creator behind YuYu Hakusho. The manga has been on and off hiatus since 2006 because of his health, which is sad for fans like me who grew up with it. Even so, it remains one of the most iconic anime, and his recent return to writing has again generated a lot of hype.
Players will get to experience intense Boss battles, enjoy new illustrations, and more
Looking at the trailer, the controls seem easy to pick up, while still letting you make strategic decisions in how you build your party and mix their skills. I’m also interested to see how the boss fights will turn out, since they promise to capture the intense combat feeling that HXH does so well.
That being said, I do wish the gameplay were somewhat different, especially since the series has the depth and content to create titles like Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade or Solo Leveling: ARISE. I do also understand that roguelite titles are doing well, and I believe the new illustrations will make up for it.
