- Still buzzing from the GamingonPhone Awards night, I jumped straight into day 3 of the Gamescom Asia x TGS.
- Walked in and was mesmerized by booths everywhere, people enjoying, the atmosphere was electric.
- Cosplay madness was hands down my favorite part with so many amazing cosplayers just owning their characters.
The gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show 2025 was a four-day extravaganza, wrapping up on the 19th of October 2025, and was a grand success. The event did see some record-breaking attendance count, while the impressive business impact of the event was also strong. And yes, I was part of the attendees too, soaking it all in on Day 3 in the B2C side of the event.
Although I wasn’t there for all four days, I could tell the entire event was an absolute blast, judging by how much fun I had on the day I attended and the showcases that were presented. Let me share my experience of the event in this space, an enjoyable one.
I was still riding high from the night before, the Grand Finale of the GamingonPhone Awards 2025 in Bangkok, had been nothing short of spectacular. And really, what better way to keep that excitement alive than by heading straight into another happening event in the city?
By evening, my plans were set, media pass ready, and energy levels surprisingly intact for someone who’d barely recovered from the celebrations. I hit the road with my friends and reached Queen Sirikit National Convention Center as the security guided me inside, and I felt the energy and the vibrations at the entrance.
Exploring Booths, Games, and taking in a whole lot of energy
I just entered inside, and while the event was going on loudly, I was feeling “Oh boy, this is going to fun!“ There were lots of booths and events to explore, and as I walked further in, I could see people just having fun, playing, and testing out different games.
Something that also got me excited was the eFootball booth right on my left. Being a massive fan, I couldn’t resist checking it out. I watched players showing off their console skills and, for a moment, felt like I could beat them *cough* *cough* not true. I also ended up grabbing some of the free cards being handed out… and maybe snatched a few from my friends too.
I followed the crowd and found myself at the CAPCOM section, which had a massive stage setup. When I checked it out, the big screen was showcasing Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, and the visuals instantly pulled me in for a good while before moving to the next.
After checking out the Mechabreak merchandise, I got a glimpse of the Nintendo Switch showcase too, names like Super Mario Party Jamboree, Kirby and the Forgotten Island, and Donkey Kong Bananza, to name a few. The Japan collection area had a strong showing, as I also enjoyed players playing Mecha BREAK on the big screen.
A few more of my stops included checking out Pokémon Legends, Jujutsu Kaisen, and some Sonic Racing trials. Also watched my friend take a swing at the punch machine, where he did find himself scoring some goodies. Before I left, I really wanted to stop at the Island of Hearts section, but let’s just say matchmaking was turned off for me that day. Guess even at a game show, love decided to skip my booth.
The art of cosplaying and a satisfying ending
Something I really enjoyed was seeing just how talented people were. One of the best features of the event had to be the cosplayers, and wow, did they absolutely live their characters. I definitely made the right call visiting on the day the cosplay competition was happening.
There were so many incredible characters walking around: Naruto, Transformers, Jujutsu Kaisen, Marvel, DC, and more, all of them assembled. I stopped for pictures with quite a few of them, though sadly, my friends’ photography skills failed. If only blurry photos counted as artistic shots, I’d have a full gallery to show off.
With this, cosplayers deserve some extra appreciation. They stood for every photo, smiled for every person, and stayed full of energy even under the humid conditions. Some of those costumes looked tough to wear, but they carried them all with the same excitement as we did watching them.
In the end, Day 3 of Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show 2025 might not have been the busiest or the most chaotic compared to the final day, but it had everything that makes gaming events special. This was so fun to walk around, I felt I needed more and spend time.
Between the laughter, the cosplay, and the sheer love for games, it was the kind of day that reminds you why these gatherings are so much fun. Would I go again? Absolutely. I hope to explore more of the B2C days. But next time, I’m bringing better photographers or maybe stick to selfies.
