Brawl Stars is building up to its flagship Esports tournament, Brawl Stars Championship 2022. With half of the cycle of the 2022 Championship done, Supercell has announced changes to spots for the World Finals of the Brawl Stars Championship, which is getting a whole new Region Update. In this article, we break down all the changes coming.
Brawl Stars Championship 2022: Highlights
The Esports tournament started in February 2022, with the Online qualifiers following with the Monthly qualifiers from March 2022. Following last year’s successful world finals where Zeta Division emerged as the ultimate winners of the competition, Brawl Stars is aiming to make the competition more competitive. Supercell already has made several changes to make this season of the esports bigger and better by increasing the prize pool, organizing a mid-season invitational and lastly introducing changes to the power and club league wherein all players have one ban and brawler suggestions.

Currently, there are seven regions from which 16 teams qualify for the World Finals which are scheduled to be held in November this year. These regions include East Asia, EECA, EMEA, LATAM S, Mainland China, NA & LATAM N, SEA and ANZ.
Brawl Stars Championship 2022: Region Update
The developers are changing the number of spots for two regions and removing the EECA region. Players who competed in the EECA region will be relocated to the EMEA region and the points for their teams will be transferred. The following countries will be shifted to the EMEA region:
- Armenia
- Azerbaijan
- Georgia
- Kazakhstan

- Tajikistan
- Uzbekistan
- Ukraine
- Turkmenistan
The top 8 EECA teams from 2021 who will be joining EMEA in June, will be awarded points based on their performance from last year. The details on how the points will be awarded are explained in the BSC Player Discord.
New slot distribution for World Finals
The two slots for EECA will be dissolved and one slot each will be redistributed to EMEA and LATAM S. The updated distribution of World Finals spots is as follows:
