Clash of Clans has announced the World Championship 2025. On the set of the Worlds Warmup, the title’s community manager Marco revealed the surprise. Starting this April, the game will kick off the 2025 esports year. More details on the championship series will be disclosed later.
Clash of Clans World Championship 2025 will be dynamic with the hard mode
Marco, Supercell’s Community Manager, revealed the surprise on the set of the Worlds Warmup Playoffs, day 2. This event is the initial tournament from the title before jumping into the main esports calendar. The recently concluded online tournament featured an Open qualifier, a Swiss stage, and a Playoff stage to conclude the journey.
With the hard mode in-game, the upcoming year in esports will look forward to a changed dynamic. Besides, the inclusion of TH17 will also push the players to set new strategies.
Besides revealing the upcoming event, Marco has also answered a few concerns raised by the players. Most of those concerns were about the same tactics being used again after the inclusion of Town Hall 17. However, Marco said that the game is seeing a change already but if the players continue to face any issues then the team is open to receiving suggestions.
Moreover, Marco answered questions on the Legend League revamp and said that currently, the game doesn’t have any solid plan but the team is thinking about it. Clash of Clans will also bring a new pet. But the most important announcement of all came in last as Marco lifted the World Championship trophy.

While the event’s commencement is confirmed, we do not know any additional details apart from the announcement. However, Supercell is ready to uncover more information on the event soon.
The last edition of the World Championship took place in November 2024 in Helsinki, Finland where Synchronic Gaming won the trophy. The team defeated Tribe Gaming and took away $300,000 as the prize money.
As the new championship event is coming now, we will soon watch the monthly qualifiers being set, followed by China regional, and Last Chance later this year. On top of everything, the World Finals will also be taking place in the last quarter of 2025.
