- The COD Mobile World Championship 2025 will add a new region, Africa, this year.
- The championship kicks off in June; dates for the World Finals will be announced later.
- There will be two divisions this year, supporting the underdog players in the competition.
Activision has announced the COD Mobile World Championship 2025. A whopping sum of $1,000,000 will be shared among the participants worldwide. This year’s esports scene will be more exciting, more entertaining as there will be a new region.
Besides, players, irrespective of their ranks, can join the championship qualifier. As the action is scheduled to unfold in April, this article will be all about the tournament system.
The World Championship 2025 will introduce a division system
For the first time in Call of Duty: Mobile’s esports scene, it will bring a division system based on the ranks of the players. There will be two divisions: the first is for Legendary and Grandmaster ranked players called “Legendary”, and the second is for all other ranks called “Open”.
This will be an excellent initiative as it will allow the lower-tier players to compete at the top stage by playing against players of similar skill levels. But the journey will only go as far as Stage 3. In the Open Division Stage 3, players will compete for CP Prizes and FaceIt points with doors open for future Open-level tournaments.
On the other hand, the Legendary Division remains the same, a pathway to the World Championship Finals. Players will be fighting their way to the top for a share of the $1,000,000 prize pool.
COD Mobile World Championship 2025 retains the same qualification process as previous seasons
The first stage of the championship series is Stage 1: Solo Qualifier. It will kick off on the 25th of April, 2025. Each player will participate in ranked multiplayer matches to earn tournament points. A total of 50 points is required to advance to the Open Team Qualifier: Team Play.
The second stage will feature a team-style gameplay where each eligible player will create or join a team of 5 or 6 players who have qualified for the Open Team Qualifier. It will start on the 4th of June. Each team will play up to 30 ranked matches, and winning each game will add points based on a team’s average player rank. The top 64 in a region will advance to Stage 3 of the World Championship 2025.

The next stage will be very crucial for the teams to reach the pinnacle of competition in COD Mobile Esports. This stage is scheduled to kick off on the 6th of July. Each region will come down to 16 teams only in this stage.
The next phase, Stage 4, will start on the 26th of July, when only the top 2 from each region will qualify for the Stage 4 Finals. The upper and lower brackets will feature a double-elimination format with BO5 matches. This stage will determine the teams that will fight on the ultimate stage.
Africa joins in as a new region, uplifting the competition further
To access the World Finals, regional qualifiers will be the key. The esports scene of COD Mobile is comprised of five regions: North America, LATAM, Europe, India, and Japan. But this year, Africa will be added as the latest region for the title’s esports scenario. However, Chinese and Southeast Asian teams will secure their places from dedicated regional qualifiers.

If you want to get a ride with the Championship, you can access the registration page from the in-game Home Page or Multiplayer and Ranked Play lobbies. As soon as you register, the journey will begin toward your Open Solo Qualifier qualification. But before jumping in, you must be eligible to participate as players over 18 years of age, above level 10, and a resident of an eligible region.
The game also answered the associated queries from players who were waiting to participate in the competition. You can find the FAQ about the COD Mobile World Championship 2025 on the title’s official website.
