The pro scene of Free Fire esports has seen another event coming to an end. The MCPS Majors Season 6 is over with Expand being crowned as the champion. By a margin of 4 points only, the champion team left Farang Esports behind. Winning the event has made the champion’s pocket a bit heavier than the others. Besides, the team has qualified for the upcoming grand event of Free Fire esports, the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) 2023.
With a total of 18 teams, the event started on the 16th of September 2023. Organized by Garena, it featured a whopping $50,000 as the prize money. After two weeks of league battle, the top 12 teams have made it to the grand finals.
The champion team’s run on the MCPS Majors Season 6
In the grand finals, 18 matches were played across different maps of Free Fire. The initial round was taken by Farang and the champion team was placed second. While Farang was consistent in the next two matches, Expand failed to perform. But the scenario changed after the third round.
For the next three matches, Expand dominated the ground and took all three matches in their pocket, showing unbelievable performance. Farang did try to catch up with the champion but could not make the gap of four points. While the other teams were far behind, the clash between Farang and Expand was enjoyable throughout the whole grand finals.
Expand wins the largest share of the prize money
MCPS Majors Season 6 champion team has taken over the largest share of the prize money. The team won $18,000 while the runner-up Farang bagged $9,000. Ilustrados Juegos obtained third place and secured $3,500 in their account. On the other hand, the popular team Geek Fam stopped at the top four and won $1,800.
Expand will accompany their country’s other representative Thorrad in the FFWS 2023. Thus, fans will be waiting to watch both the teams’ best performances on the international stage of Free Fire esports.
