Godlike Esports crowned as the Champions of COD Mobile India Cup Open 2021

Godlike Esports takes the crown!

The first phase of the biggest Call Of Duty Mobile tournament in India the COD Mobile India Cup Open 2021 has concluded today, with Godlike Esports emerging as champions. Call Of Duty Mobile has partnered with Indian game streaming giant Loco to host the COD Mobile India Cup featuring a prize pool of â‚¹35 Lakhs (~ $48,000). The total prize pool of Phase 1 of the COD Mobile India Cup was â‚¹10 Lakhs while the prize pool of phase 2 is ₹25 lakhs. The COD Mobile India Cup Open was live on Loco and it will be followed by COD Mobile India Cup Pro, which is phase 2 of the tournament.


COD Mobile India Cup Open 2021

Teams from across the country signed up for the tournament and played against each other in five modes – Frontline, Team Deathmatch, Search and Rescue, Domination, and Hardpoint. The first phase of the tournament had 2048 teams fighting it out against each other in an open qualifier knockout format. The teams had five players with the option of substitutes during the tournament which was subject to approval. In the finals, Godlike Esports defeated Heroes Official by 3-2 and were crowned the champions. You can watch the best of Godlike Esports on the official Instagram page of Loco.

Prize pool distribution

The total prize pool of the COD Mobile India Cup Open is â‚¹10,00,000. The prize pool has been divided between the top 4 teams and it’s as follows:

  • 1st place – â‚¹5,00,000: Godlike Esports
  • 2nd place – â‚¹2,50,000: Heroes Official
  • 3rd place – â‚¹1,50,000: Force One Esports
  • 4th place – â‚¹1,00,000: Blind Esports

The top 16 teams from the COD Mobile India Cup Open have qualified for the second phase – COD Mobile India Cup Pro. Four pro teams which include the likes of Team Mayhem and Team IND will join the 16 finalists from Phase 1. Here’s the complete list of qualified teams:
