Ahead of the upcoming KIC 2025, Honor of Kings unveiled the esports roadmap for 2026. A diverse set of esports events will occur throughout the year and will uphold the title’s commitment to its esports scene. The coming year will witness a surge in the number, players and even events.
With the roadmap in our hand, we will take a look at what the game is going to offer in 2026. Apart from the Esports Roadmap, the game also announced a live-action adaptation of the game and a record-breaking combined total MAU.
2026 promises to be a year packed with events for HoK esports
As the roadmap is revealed, the very first event to break out will be the Honor of Kings Invitational (KIS) Season 4. It will take place in Jakarta, Indonesia. Later, the regional leagues will kick off with their spring season. These two splits will have their first phase starting from the first quarter of the year.
As per the game’s latest update, there will be a women-only event, Honor of Queens. There will be four events for the Queens. Just after the KIS4, the regional leagues such as MKL, IKL, and PKL will kick off in their first split. The second split of the same series will take place between August to September.
A few in-game tournaments will also take place, providing players with exclusive outfits and skins. At the beginning of 2026, the Open Series Split 5 will take place, followed by the Power-up Program H1. Then, the Open Series Split 6 and the Power-up Program H2 will take place.
The game will also commence a Nation Clash event, where countries will play as teams and try to win something. The second big and international event will be the KWC or the World Cup, sharing the stage with the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026.
As the mid-season tournament will be over, the next phase will kick in. The Fall season of regional leagues will start to take place, keeping an eye on the year finale action in the Honor of Kings International Championship (KIC) 2026. Honor of Kings: The Movie, an official movie adaptation, is coming to the theatres in 2028
