Immortals enters the Wild Rift esports scene with Hoon leading the roster

Content creator SeongHun "Hoon" Jang is going to lead the new roster!

Immortals Esports has officially made its entry to the League of Legends: Wild Rift esports scene. As part of their new roster, the signed-in Wild Rift content creator and popular YouTube star SeongHun “Hoon” Jang who’ll be leading the team. This makes them the third esports organization to enter LCS esports after Cloud9 and TSM.

Hoon is an emerging YouTube star and has over 415K subscribers to his YouTube channel. Having started with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Hoon has now shifted to the game of League of Legends: Wild Rift. Finishing the first competitive season with the rank Challenger 1, he is one of the best players in North America. According to his contract with Immortals, he will also work as a content creator for the organization. Immortals have not revealed the rest of the players yet.

The LCS scene is at a rapid growth in the NA region

Immortals have released a short video on Twitter regarding the entry of Hoon into their Wild Rift team. “To have an organization like Immortals invest in my passion for Wild Rift and include me in their expansion to mobile esports is mind-blowing”, said Hoon. “Together, we will bring new and existing fans even more content to help make Wild Rift their passion, too.”

Jordan Sherman, the president, and chief commercial officer at Immortals has pointed out that Riot Games has proven and continued its “excellence” in creating competitive esports games. “We didn’t have a second thought about investing in mobile esports knowing Riot continues to perfect their competitive model”, Jordan Sherman added. The organization, owned by Immortals Gaming Club, was founded in 2017.

With a mission to create the world’s most inclusive, engaged, and connected community of gamers, Immortals Gaming Club is actively working and participating in esports tournaments. Including League of Legends (LCS) and VALORANT, this is the third game for Immortals with a Riot Games title. It is the only active mobile game esports roster for the organization.
