- Clash of Clans teased a major new social feature focused on connecting players globally.
- The discussion strongly hinted at a possible replacement for the old Global Chat system.
- Inside the Builder’s Hut Episode 4 also covered ores, Ranked Mode, and event pacing.
Supercell may finally be working on something that is bringing the Global Chat to Clash of Clans, or at least a replacement for it. During the latest Inside the Builder’s Hut Episode 4, Clash of Clans General Manager Sabrina spoke heavily about improving social connections in the game, and there are a few interesting takeaways that make you go “global chat is coming back”.
This was more like a talk about “what they are working on”, so there were no visuals on offer for us, but the emphasis on the social connection was noticed, where Sabrina herself confirmed they are “cooking something that people can feel more connected globally”.
Clash of Clans social features are getting a major focus
The topic came up when Sabrina was asked by Community Manager Ferri about improving clan life and social interactions in Clash of Clans. She openly said that social systems and clans are the part of Clash she feels most passionate about, which was the first positive.
To my surprise, and I would say, you all too, how long has it been since we have heard the word “globally”? Six years? Maybe more, right? Yeah, to note that the word was repeated several times during the segment, we can expect something big to come.

This is probably the closest Clash of Clans has come to talking about Global Chat since it was removed back in 2019. If you remember, Global Chat was one of the most memorable parts of the game. It allowed you to talk with random players worldwide, recruit clan members, and just spend some time off the village.
But over time, the system became filled with spam, scams, toxic messages, and moderation issues, leading Supercell to remove Global Chat entirely in September 2019. There were talks of bringing it back around 2023, but it never bore fruit.
But finally, we are having something concrete to work with. I said “Global chat-like” in the title because I see no phrasing of bringing the old system back, but it could be something related to it for sure. So, for now, we keep an eye on further developments.
Discussions surrounding Ranked Mode, ores, and game pacing
Outside of social features, Sabrina confirmed the team is actively working on improving the ore economy and helping returning players catch up faster.
Ranked Mode was another major focus, with the developers admitting that the current system sometimes feels too stressful. They confirmed more improvements are already planned after the April Ranked update.
