Wild Rift Champions Korea (WCK) 2021 has come to an end today as KT Rolster wins and becomes the champion of the region’s first Wild Rift professional tournament organized by Riot Games. In the Grand Finals of Wild Rift Champions Korea 2021, they beat Break Frame Gaming by 4-0 and claimed the trophy with complete dominance.
KT Rolster becomes second team to qualify for WR World Championship
Being the champion, the team becomes the second to qualify for the upcoming Wild Rift World Championship 2021. DKG became the first team by winning the Wild Rift Spark Invitational 2021. Winning this esports tournament will fetch the team a total of ₩30,000,000 (approximately $25,600) prize money to take back home.
On the other hand, the runner-up team Break Frame Gaming will be also taking a decent amount of ₩20,000,000 (approximately $17,100) with them. T1 has finished the event at the third position, with GLUK Gaming being the fourth. Both of the teams took decent amounts of ₩12,000,000 ($10,300) and ₩8,000,000 ($6,800) respectively with them.
Wild Rift Champions Korea 2021: How it went
LoL Park, Seoul witnessed the domination by KT Rolster, the Korean team didn’t lose any game on its journey throughout the whole Wild Rift Champions Korea 2021.
The final is supposed to be held in a Bo7 format. Destroying all the calculations, KT Rolster has won the first four matches consecutively and thus, secured the champion title. BFG tried to put up some fights in the first match but lost all four instead.
How KT Rolster played the tournament is a threat to other teams that will compete in the World Championship. They have shown their potentiality very well. Now, the team will be looking for a decent result in the next major event. Started on September 7, WCK has hosted eight teams. Divided into two groups, the teams fought each other and the top two from each moved to the semis.
