The half yearly competition is here!

Story Highlights
  • The Mobile Legends Mid Season Cup 2026 will be held at the Esports World Cup for the third year in a row.
  • The tournament is scheduled to run from July 22nd to August 1st, with a massive $3,000,000 prize pool.

Mobile Legends Bang Bang, after completing the 2025 esports year successfully, is stepping into the big stage of the international championship events in July. The Mobile Legends Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2026 is announced to take place at the Esports World Cup (EWC) for the third consecutive time.

This event will surpass the previous one as more participating regions and an expanded competitive structure are to be introduced. With a combined $3,500,000 prize pool and an expanded slate of qualification pathways, MOONTON’s popular MOBA will create a grand entry in the event.

Through our five-region strategy and globalisation efforts, we are making the road to the world stage clearer and more accessible for every region“, said Ray Ng, Head of Esports Ecosystem at MOONTON Games.

The MSC 2026: Schedule and Format

The MSC has a glorious history in the EWC. The last edition, MSC 2025, emerged as one of the event’s most-watched titles with over 47 million hours watched. The event single-handedly dominated the viewership count by accounting for over 12% of total viewership across all 25 disciplines.

However, the event is scheduled to kick off on the 22nd of July and will continue till the 1st of August. No detailed information regarding the format is available yet.

A massive prize pool for the MSC 2026

So, a massive $3,000,000 is going to be shared among the teams. The journey started back in 2017 with just a minimal amount and a tag “regional event” only meant for Southeast Asia. Now, the root expanded heavily and took the form of a massive sheltering tree for the teams and organizations performing under the game’s esports.

No doubt that the highest amount will go to the pocket of the champion. However, the others won’t have any spot to complain as the allocation is balanced and will ensure each participant goes back with a smile on their face.

Enough of the words, let’s see the distribution of the prize pool of the event:

Team RankingPrize Pool

Participating Teams

The event is going to house three more teams this yearthan the previous edition, making a total of 26 participating teams in the tournament. There will be two phases in dividing the teams: The Main stage and The Wildcard stage.

MOONTON claims this wildcard to be the biggest so far, as Western Europe also joins the party. The expansion will create a stronghold for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa), alongside SEA (Southeast Asia), AMER (Americas), EECA (Eastern Europe and Central Asia), and EA (East Asia), an attempt to reinforce MLBB’s global competitive structure.

Besides, India is joining as another main stage region, an opening for the game in the largest SA market. With a wide regional array, the competition is growing more and more.

Besides, the MLBB Women’s Invitational (MWI) is also making a comeback with the introduction of the MWI 2026 Western Europe Qualifier. It will feature 16 teams. As the teams haven’t announced yet, we may have to wait some time. Stay tuned!

Where to watch the Mobile Legends MSC 2026

The event goes beyond a mere competition, rather a prestigious showcase from the developer company. The ever-expanding nature of the game is also understandable by the success of this event. Besides its offline presence, the MSC 2026 can be enjoyed via various social media channels of the game, such as Facebook, and YouTube.
