As part of the roadmap for this year and the commitment to provide the fans with a top-notch MOBA action experience, Mobile Legends MPL SG Season 9 is returning in May 2025.
This season of the MLBB pro league will reinvent the local esports scene with greater community integration. The event will showcase its most ambitious changes yet. These include a nationwide roving league, weekly community team participation, and a talent and ambassador search programme. Mobile Legends MPL SG Season 9: Schedule and Format
The event will bring the Regular Season directly to the community with a roving format. Thus, fans will be able to witness MLBB esports action at various locations across the country. This opportunity will be available from the 10th of May to the 15th. This is to create more touchpoints and engagement.
Besides, the Regular Season will feature pro teams and community teams playing side-by-side. The Phase is divided into four stages: the Seeded Stage, the Challenger Qualifiers, the Challenger Stage, and the Last Chance Qualifiers. These additional threads will tighten the bond for emerging esports talents.
The Challenger stage is where community teams will fight head-to-head. This stage will begin with the qualifier, featuring 64 teams. The seeded stage will feature a similar rivalry as the top five invited MPL Singapore teams go head-to-head.
The final stage of the event will be the Playoffs, where the top four invited MPL Singapore teams will secure direct spots. The fifth-placed MPL team will compete against the Challenger Stage community teams. The highest-ranked team will claim a playoff spot.

Prize Pool
A total of SGD 40,000 will be spread among the teams. The champion will take the highest share. But the most lucrative prize will be a direct spot at the MSC 2025. It will be the champion’s opportunity to represent the nation at the Esports World Cup (EWC) x MLBB Mid-Season Cup (MSC) 2025. The detailed breakdown has not been announced yet.
