The exchange of record will happen on the 16th of October 2022!

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Malaysia, received the award for the country’s longest-running esports competition by the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR). Over 500 esports athletes and talents have come from the local league since 2017 and have found enormous success and popularity with fans all over the world.

Credit for the award goes to the fans of MPL Malaysia

The MPL Malaysia fans and casters who came together to support the award by sharing multiple social media messages on various platforms, including TikTok to magnify their views, served as the catalyst for the MBOR initiative.

The record exchange will take place at the Quill City Mall Concourse on October 16, 2022, during the MPL Malaysia Season 10 Grand Finals. The event will be free to attend, feature a festival-like atmosphere, and offer fans a variety of activities and rewards.

MPL Malaysia continues to support players and encouraged local esports organizations

The first Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports league, MPL MY, saw IDNS SG become the first champion in its maiden season. After numerous esports juggernauts, including RSG MY, TODAK, Team SMG, and more, who managed to dominate the competition and become national champions, Geek Fam eventually won the national championship in Season 4.

The national league has added new sponsors over the past several seasons, including McDonald’s, Joe & Barbers, Nescafe, and others, to expand the chances for esports to connect with a younger audience.

Through numerous marketing and social media amplification initiatives run in collaboration with TikTok, MPLMY has also supported its players and encouraged local esports organizations to advance their esports objectives. Ten teams will compete this year for a share of $100,000 and a berth in the M4 World Championship, which will be held in Jakarta from January 1–15, 2023.
