Dragon Quest Smash/Grow Weapons Tier List

Story Highlights
  • The absolute best weapons to destroy tough bosses.
  • Learn special attacks to clear rifts easily.

Dragon Quest Smash/Grow throws endless waves of dangerous monsters at you. Dodging attacks with one-touch controls is incredibly fun. However, you need serious firepower to survive the endgame. When drafting meta-analyses for mobile titles, I always crunch the DPS numbers.

Therefore, I spent countless hours testing these specific weapons in high-difficulty rifts. Some weapons completely shred Shrine bosses in seconds. Others barely scratch the weakest slimes. I compiled my personal testing data into this comprehensive tier list. I will help you equip your squad for absolute victory.

Dragon Quest Smash/Grow Best Weapons Tier List

Dragon Quest Smash/Grow keeps you on your toes with non-stop waves of monsters, and the one-touch dodging feels great. That said, getting through the endgame requires some serious damage. While some weapons melt bosses instantly, others struggle against basic slimes.

I’ve put together this tier list based on my findings to help you pick the best setup for your squad.

TierWeapon Name
Strong (S)Metal Slime Sword, Falcon Blade, Metal Wing
Good (A)Fire Blade, Crystal Claw, Shiverstick
Average (B)Queen’s Whip, Sandstorm Spear, Platinum Plumes

Dragon Quest Smash/Grow Best Weapons to Pick

S-Tier: Falcon Blade

I place the Falcon Blade firmly in the S-Tier. This iconic weapon completely shreds Shrine bosses. It primarily deals massive wind damage. Its ultimate Coup de Grâce is the Urfalcon Slash. This special attack boasts the highest single-hit damage potential in the entire game.

It hits the target with an incredible 350% potency. You must aim it very carefully due to its incredibly narrow hitbox. However, landing this precise strike guarantees a massive burst of damage. I always swap to this specific weapon for immediate boss kills.

A-Tier: Fire Blade

The Fire Blade easily secures an A-Tier ranking. I love using this weapon for sustained elemental damage. It features a unique auto-mechanic called Infernal Impact. Every time you kill an enemy, the blade shoots two homing fireballs. Its Coup de Grâce is the explosive Inferno Slash.

This powerful ultimate unleashes a long-range blast. It pierces multiple enemies in a straight line. I use this attack to clear out dense monster waves safely from a distance. It synergizes perfectly with hit-scaling roguelite Blessings.

B-Tier: Queen’s Whip

I rank the Queen’s Whip in the B-Tier. This weapon swings in a very wide arc. It helps you clear dense monster swarms during the early chapters. Its Coup de Grâce deploys a large support field right on the ground. Standing inside this magical zone significantly increases your attack speed.

I often drop this field and then quickly swap to my primary damage dealer. This specific strategy creates a massive window of rapid physical attacks. Sadly, its base damage falls off heavily against late-game enemies.

Final Thoughts

Finding the perfect weapon changes your entire experience. I constantly tweak my loadouts to match the evolving tactical meta. You should definitely experiment with different gear to find your own rhythm. Do not panic if you lack an S-Tier weapon right now. Skill and smart movement still matter immensely in this game. Keep farming those rifts and upgrading your current arsenal.
