PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) Thailand Season 3: Everything you need to know

PUBG Mobile Esports Spring Season 2021 has started with PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) around the world. The PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) Season 3 Thailand has started on March 24 and it’s expected to conclude on April 25, 2021. The tournament will witness a total of 20 teams in the battle arena for a prize pool of $81610 (2,531,000 THB).

The PUBG Mobile Esports tournament will be played in two stages i.e. the league stage and the grand finals. The league stage will be played between March 24 to April 11 and country finals will be played on April 23, 24, and 25, 2021. The top 3 teams from PMPL Season 3 Thailand will directly qualify for SEA Finals. In the top 3 teams, one will be the top team from the league stage and the rest 2 will be from the finals.

Out of the 20 teams, 16 teams are invited, and the rest 4 teams are qualified from the PMCO 2021 Thailand. All the 20 teams are clubbed into five groups of four teams each. The complete group details are as follows:

PMPL Thailand Season 3 Format

League Stage

The league stage of PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) Season 3 Thailand will witness 20 teams battle against each other for 4 weeks. All the groups will have a game on weekdays, i.e., Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, in a round-robin format. After every week, the top 16 teams will then head to Super Weekend matches on Saturdays and Sundays. In the PMPL Thailand, the points earned in the super weekend matches will only be considered for the qualification to the PMPL Finals.

Finals

After the completion of super weekend matches, the top 16 teams from the leaderboard will move to PMPL Thailand Finals. The country finals will be played on April 23, 24, and 25, 2021.

Point System in PMPL Season 3 Thailand

The point system in PMPL Season 1 North America is the same as PMPL SA. Each kill will correspond to 1 point. After every game, the points will be divided such as the team finishing 1st will get 15 points. The team in the 2nd position will get 12 points and the team in the 3rd position will get 10 points. In case of a tie between 2 teams in any stage of the tournament, a tie-breaker will be decided based on-

  • Total times they won the first placement or chicken dinner across all tournament games.
  • Total placement points
  • Placement points in the most recent match
  • Total Kills
