ACECRAFT Beginners Guide and Tips

Beat all the goofy Bosses!

ACECRAFT is a 2-player bullet-hell shooter title from Vizta Gamesa subsidiary of MOONTON Games. This fully hand-drawn co-op vertical title offers a fresh twist to the bullet-hell genre, letting you enter a living cartoon with bullet storms, roguelike skills, and more. In this ACECRAFT Beginners Guide and Tips, I will provide some tips and tricks to help you get started and improve your gameplay experience.

ACECRAFT Overview

Let’s start with the gameplay overview of ACECRAFT to help you get a clear idea of how the game works. Here, your main goal is to survive endless waves of bullet storms and outsmart the enemies, finally beating the bosses. You can even team up with your friend in the duo mode.

The game begins with an introduction to Claudia and the Nightmares, and finally, your training. As a bullet-hell shooter, the mechanics are simple to grasp, and all you need to do is drag, shoot, and dodge enemy attacks. Here, you need 5 Stamina to start a stage, and you can watch ads to collect them.

You soon unlock the Spitfire stunt, which lets you absorb enemy pink projectiles by releasing your finger, and counterattack by tapping again to unleash them. However, the difficulty ramps up with the boss encounters. Thankfully, there are heavy weapons that you can use to deal extra damage.

You can take advantage of various gear, like Winding Key: Mind, to easily clear all the waves. Oh, and your flyboy also levels up as you defeat your enemies, letting you install Attachments like Tracking Fireworks, Hourglass, and more. This title reminds me of Archero 2, as there’s even a Lucky Wheel.

Introducing the Basics of  ACECRAFT

Ace Pilots

The game features a total of 8 quirky Ace Pilots, with each bringing their own unique skills to the table. You start with rookie pilot Ekko, clearing the tutorial exam, battling bosses, and becoming an Ace Pilot.

Now, here are the following Ace Pilots you can use in the game: Joey, Elsa, Amelia, Charlie, Ironarm, Scott, Ryan, and Ekko. You can also unlock both Tom and Jerry. They are categorized as Sharpshot, Crusher, and Vanguard.

Gear

In the Gear section, you can equip various items such as Winding Key: Mind, Bone Ring. These gears boost your base attributes and rarity skills, and you can enhance them further by upgrading them. For your convenience, you can also use the Quick Upgrade option.

As you progress in levels, you’ll unlock new options like Modify, which allows you to enhance Momentum, Endurance, and Tenacity, and also unlock super tech, which includes Bouncer, Tesla Cannon, Airstrike II, and more. Additionally, you can also fuse duplicate gear to make them more powerful.

Attachments and Lucky Wheel

Upon leveling up during each run, you can choose from three Attachments to increase your power. That said, picking the right build for your Flyboy is important if you want to clear waves with ease. I personally find Tracking Fireworks very handy since they track down your enemies automatically.

You can also unlock Evo attachments like Potent Fuel, which increases all DMG for Tracking Fireworks, or Energy Cube, which strengthens your Counter stunt by increasing its DMG. Attachments can be upgraded to three levels by picking the same one, such as the Main Cannon, and adding extra projectiles.

Apart from this, you may also come across the Lucky Wheel, filled with a wide range of Attachments. By spinning it, you can obtain three to five Attachments at once, making it easier for you to max out the attachments and clear the waves with ease.

Archives

The Archives is like a collection of your achievements and stories, and you’ll find Pilots, Wingmen, Monsters, Stories, and Adventure here. It keeps a record of all the Monsters you’ve fought, Stories you’ve encountered, and more. You can earn Diamonds, Avatars, and more from here.

Recruit

Here, you can recruit items like Pilots, Wingman, Gear, and more. You can unlock Excellent or better Pilot and Wingman at 10 Draws, while Epic ones require 70 draws in total. The items are divided into Epic with a 0.425% drop rate, Excellent with 0.8333%, Better with 0.8886%, and Good with 2.6656%.

Here, you’ll find the collab event Pilots and Wingman, like the current Tom and Jerry Collaboration one, called Skyward Recruit. In the future, you can look forward to similar ones coming.

Events

In the event section, you can complete various events like the Cheese Festival, which is live for 24 days. You can obtain a variety of rewards like Pilots, Recruit Ticket, Gear, Gold, and more from these events. You can also claim rewards from Patrol, which offers better rewards as you progress through stages.

Store

The in-game lets you spend real money on things like Special Packs, Growth Funds, Diamonds, and more. These packs can give you special items like Power Cubes, Gold, Skyward Recruit Tickets, and more. You can also get Diamonds, Gold, EXP Soda, and more by watching ads daily.

Moreover, the Store also features an Item Shop where you can trade your Diamonds or Gold for items like Gold, EXP Soda, Blueprints, and more. That said, you don’t necessarily have to spend money to enjoy the game.

ACECRAFT Beginners Guide: Tips and Tricks

1. Focus on surviving the Bullet Storm

Considering the core of ACECRAFT is all about dodging waves of bullets while taking down enemies, you need to keep moving, drag to dodge, and use the converted projectile shots wisely. Here, boss fights can be very challenging, so you need to stay alert as your screen will be crowded by a variety of attacks and even normal enemies.

2. Make the most out of Stunt and heavy weapons

You unlock the Spitfire stunt early on, which lets you absorb the pink projectiles and send them back for more damage. You need to time it properly, especially during later waves, like when to absorb the projectiles or when to release or ignore them. Moreover, don’t forget to use the heavy weapon, which is like a special skill, especially during boss encounters.

3. Choose the right Attachments

As your flyboy levels up during a run, you’ll get to pick Attachments that enhance your overall build, so you should pick them wisely. I suggest prioritizing Tracking Fireworks and Bouncer and upgrading them to max, along with your Main Cannon. Once those are maxed, you can shift your focus to the Evo ones.

4. Equip proper Gears and upgrade them regularly

While the attachments are good, you shouldn’t forget about gears like Military Pants, which increase your base stats and skills. You should equip the right ones, which can be beneficial for you, and upgrade them gradually. Plus, if you unlock duplicates, make sure to fuse them for better results.

5. Recruit more Pilots and Wingman

While Ekko is a great Pilot, you can still pick better ones for easier runs. I suggest you collect 10 Diamonds daily from the Recruit section and 20 by watching ads in the Store. You can collect from Flight Log and Archives to recruit better Pilots like Joey or Elsa, and then their Wingmen.

Final Thoughts

ACECRAFT is a very enjoyable bullet-hell shooter filled with a lively cartoon world, endless bullet storms, and exciting boss encounters. Its overall theme, soundtrack, and fast-paced gameplay with roguelike skills keep you engaged.

But it soon becomes more challenging as you progress and face tougher enemies and bosses. But don’t be so stressed, if you simply follow this guide, you will have a smooth and pleasant experience with the game.
