Adorable Home is a cute little game that is played best when you want to put your mind at ease. The visuals, the soundtrack, and the tasks, all are designed so that the players feel calm and warm while playing. Gameplay Overview
The story of this game revolves around a suburban area. We are a part of a couple who moves into the area with our cat. We don’t have much with us, and we have to start anew with whatever we do have. Our partner and our cat need our love. We have to make sure our cat gets the best care possible because it is the one that’s home with us all day. This is the only story there is in the game. It is a very simple, to-the-point game.
Introducing the basics of Adorable Home
The gameplay of Adorable Home is very straightforward. All we have to do is pack a nice Bento Box for our partners when they go to work, and take care of our cats.
1. Prepare Bento Boxes
Whether we choose to play a male or female character, we always stay at home, while our partner goes to work. Before they go to work, however, we must prepare a traditional Japanese delicacy for them, known as a Bento Box. We must make sure that this Bento Box is prepared carefully with the best combi actions of dishes. The optimal way to prepare a Bento Box is the following:
- Main Dish: This is the best dish in the box. It is the main dish on the three-course menu.
- Side Dish: This dish serves as an accompaniment to the main dish.
- Sweet Dish: The sweet dish is the dessert in the Bento Box. Packing good desserts for your partner is a great way to gain more love from them.
After preparing the boxes, we wrap them up and send them to our partner. in the evening, when our partner comes home from work, we get love from them. If they liked the Bento Box, we will get more love, and if they didn’t like it, we won’t get as much love. So, it is recommended to pack the best Bento Box possible every day.
2. Taking Care of the Cats
We have a couple of cats move in with us into our sweet little home. These cats are our pets and playmates, and we must look after them very well, as they are a very important source of love for us. All of these cats are very adorable. We can care for these cats in three different ways:
- Stroking the Cat: The basic way to care for a cat is to stroke it. When the cat feels good, we will get a “Heart“, or love, from the cat. If it doesn’t feel good, we will get “Bolts” which signify that it doesn’t like the way we are caring for it. Getting 5 Hearts means we are successful in stroking the cat properly.
- Cutting Nails: Grooming the cats is an important mini-game in Adorable Home. We have to carefully cut our cat’s nails and keep them in the best shape possible. Like with the stroking, here, if we accidentally hit the cat with the nail cutter, we will get a Bolt, and if we cut the nails properly, we will receive a heart.
- Bathing The Cat: This mini-game is the toughest of all the cat’s mini-games. The water has to be at just the right temperature when the cat walks into the path of its flow. If we try to move the shower handle, the temperature will fluctuate, so the best way to keep the temperature in the green area is the just hold the shower in one place, and wait for the cat to walk into it. Then, if the temperature is right, we will get a heart. If the water is too cold or too hot, we will get Bolts. We can adjust the temperature by tilting our phone from left to right, with the left tilts leading to cold water, and tilting to the right leading to hot water flowing out.
3. Purchasing Gift Boxes and Furniture
In addition to taking care of the cats, we can gain more love from them by purchasing gift boxes. Each gift box costs about 600 love, and by using these we can farm even more love from our cats. These aren’t anything special as such, just a few shiny trinkets that the cats like to have around them.
Along with the gift boxes, having furniture around the house is important. The Shop in Adorable Home has a lot of furniture available for purchase, and it is up to us to decide when we buy it. It is essentially there for the beautification of our home, and buying different furniture with exciting combinations can lead to our home becoming more aesthetically pleasing.
Understanding the in-game Currencies
As noted before, our main objective in the game is to farm Love. This’Love is the main currency of the game. As we farm more and more love from our partners and cats, we can buy better things from the Shop. Buying better things in turn leads to more happiness from our partners and cats, which in turn leads to more love, and the cycle goes on.
This love is given to us in the form of Hearts. This is the only currency in the game, and it can be obtained easily by just playing the game, but if we want to, we can buy additional love by using real money. Besides the above, whenever we complete a task, we have a chance of getting double the love, by watching a short advertisement. So, this is a way of farming up love as well.
