The May 2023 season of Clash of Clans has arrived which is the continuation of the previous Dark Ages season. The latest Dark Ages Champion Challenge is now live in the game, with yet another interesting base to complete a 3-star attack in Clash of Clans. Of course, many gamers would love to break it down for which we have devised strategies to effectively beat this base.
Introducing the Dark Ages Champion Challenge in Clash of Clans
Just by the eye test, we can confirm this is not as easy as the previous King Challenge, a Town Hall 15 with Scattershots scattered around is always waiting for bait to fall. However, the troops provided are really effective for any base, and can easily help you three-star this base if you use your strategies right.
The rewarding pattern is similar to all the previous challenges, but when we consider the loot, it is all good for the players. Along with the extra resources that are provided, players can gain 400 XP, 25 Gems, and a Builder Potion.
How to beat the Dark Ages Champion Challenge in Clash of Clans
The base is kinda tricky when you see it for the first time, and then you realize it isn’t very much. The threat is undoubtedly the four Scattershots around the base and the Town Hall 15 activating, so planning to take these both down would be super important in order to get your three stars.
Look at the troop composition first. There is a similar pattern to all the troops available in this strategy, three each of P.E.K.K.A, Witch, Bowlers, Super Bowlers, Hog Rider, and Headhunter is available. So this indirectly is a great suggestion to target two corners and the center of the base, which allows you to distribute troops evenly.
So you need to pick a side where the attack of troops is starting from, and in the opposite direction, deploy the Flame Flinger Seige that has the Super Dragon inside, which will do its job of cleaning the base from one end. Before attacking, make sure your Grand Warden is set to ground, as this is a clear ground strategy.
On the other side, crack open the middle of the base using the Earthquake spells, and deploy the Super Wallbreakers on two corners near to the Scattershots. This way, you get three openings to get into. Follow up with the PEKKAs on three sides and Witch on the behind. Once the two Scattershots are destroyed, follow up with both types of bowlers behind.
Grand Warden and the Royal Champion should follow the troops and once they get in, deploy the Hogs and the Headhunter to take out the Town Hall. Once it is about to activate the defense, use the Warden Ability to shield your troops which almost makes your job done.
Use the ability of the Royal Champion if necessary to take out the Scattershot and defenses nearby, while the Super Dragon if summoned will be helpful in clearing the rest of the base. Even though the base is not as difficult as it looks, this challenge is a smart one and thoroughly tests the player’s ability to read the base well before he attacks the base.
