The May 2023 season of Clash of Clans has arrived which is the continuation of the previous Dark Ages season. With the Barbarian King skin making its way to the Gold Pass in Clash of Clans, he will also feature in the latest Dark Ages King Challenge with yet another interesting base to 3-star. Introducing the Dark Ages King Challenge in Clash of Clans
The base this time is really funny. I mean funny because the base is having a Town Hall 7 but with heroes guarding the base surrounded by the walls of the higher town hall levels. It looks so easy when you get a first look, but then, there must be a twist surrounding it because there is no way a challenge is that easy, and the twist lies with the traps.
The rewarding pattern is similar to all the previous challenges, but when we consider the loot, it is all good for the players. Along with the extra resources that are provided, players can gain 400 XP, 25 Gems, and a Hero Potion.
How to beat the Dark Ages King Challenge in Clash of Clans
The approach to the base is what makes the difference. Since you don’t have any other troops other than the family of barbarians, you should be wary of the traps and towers dropping poison spells that inflict a lot of damage. Knowing the positions of the traps beforehand by practicing two-three attacks is also a good way to approach the challenge.
First things first, it is taking out the bombs and activating towers and other traps in the base. For that, deploy Barbarians one each around the base, and this will help in popping the giant bombs. It might take 25-30 barbarians to do so, which is not a problem. Follow the same at the top right corner, to activate the giant bomb as well as the skeleton traps.
Once activated, choose one corner, it can be the top or bottom corner, and deploy the king and the rest of the barbarians. The skeletons activated from the traps will gather where you will take them out with the help of the poison spell you have. This will clear out the majority of the traps and will help in
Deploying the Super Barbarians altogether is a mistake, as you will lose their Rage ability. Drop them from time to time, say once you drop three each on either side, drop three more to keep their rage ability. This way, you can also save your barbarians from being wrecked if there is a trap that wasn’t activated last time. Use the King’s ability whenever you feel it is needed and you are good to go.
This is probably one of the easiest base challenges introduced in the game. There isn’t a strong strategy needed for this, but as mentioned earlier, this base is tricky, and on rare occasions not knowing the base’s weakness can spoil your attack. So to get the three-star, simply follow the easy steps outlined in this article to get the benefits!
