Clash of Clans brings a football-themed May 2024 season which has brought along a series of monthly events for players to engage with. Challenges play a crucial role in these events, adding an extra layer of excitement to the gaming experience. As the Clash of Clans season kicks off, we have some football fun that features Erling Haaland and the third challenge has arrived which is called the Golden Boot.
This challenge is part of Haaland’s Challenge, following Payback Time and Kicker Kick-off. To ensure that players conquer enemy bases without problems, I have created a complete guide on effective approaches for tackling and getting a three-star attack.
Introducing the Golden Boot Challenge in Clash of Clans
The Golden Boot Challenge is part of a new system of challenges designed as part of the Erling Haaland season, where you will encounter plenty of challenging attacks to counter. You need to collect a total of 35 Stars that will go through different rewarding tiers, and this challenge is in the third of the lot.
In this challenge, we’re up against a Town Hall 16 base, which presents a decent challenge similar to the first one. However, the rewards are a bit different this time around. Successfully achieving a three-star attack will earn us a Research Potion since we will cross 8 stars once the attack is done.
How to beat the Golden Boot Challenge in Clash of Clans
Coming onto the strategy, I followed up first to activate the Town Hall since the start it seemed that the most feasible and easy to attack. Start your attack to turn it into a defensive structure, which is easily done by dropping a Skeleton Spell directly on it. This triggers the defense, and now you can begin with the troop deployment.
We’ll deal with the activated Town Hall by unleashing four Barbarian Kicker troops near the Haaland Statue to handle them with their free-kick ability. Meanwhile, let’s send in a Super Valkyrie and Bowler to tackle the Clan Castle troops after deploying a Poison Spell on top of them to make it easy for the troops to clear.
Up the top left side of the base where there are plenty of trophies lying around, we’ll use two Barbarian Kicker troops each to snipe both the single-placed Multi Archer Tower and Monolith, taking out those defenses swiftly. This clears the way for our troops to do their thing. With this done, every step next is pretty easy, with the Kickers moving to the left to target the X-Bow.
Move down to find more single defenses, starting with the Ricochet Cannon where two Barbarian Kickers troops are enough to eliminate it. And if you’ve got one Barbarian Kicker left, don’t fret. You can always use a Goblin to handle any leftover Troll Teslas and the remaining defenses. And there you have it, three stars in the bag!
