The Season 70 ā€˜Tale of Thievesā€™ April 2025 Update in Clash Royale saw the arrival of a new Champion card in Boss Bandit and a new evolution in Executioner. As you can see, players have already started using Executioner Evolution in their Clash Royale decks.

Surely, he’s an exciting new evolution that amps up his close-range damage and adds pushback to his throws. Making the best use of this ability is important. So, if youā€™re wondering how to build the best deck around the Executioner Evolution, letā€™s dive into some great options you can try out.

Best Decks for Executioner Evolution in Clash Royale

The evolved Executioner unleashes his Axe Smash ability when enemies come within 3.5 tiles, doubling the damage and knocking them back. He fits especially well in control-heavy and counter-push decks where you can force enemies into that close-range sweet spot.

To help you take full advantage of this axe-wielding menace, here are the best decks built around Executioner Evolution.

1. Executioner, Knight, Musketeer, Fireball, Ice Spirit, Guards, Tornado, Goblin Barrel

Average Elixir Cost: 3.3

The first deck is a little twist to the Exe-Tornado combo. After the balance update, sure, the Tornado might not deal massive damage, but it is still an essential card. Executioner and Tornado create a perfect defensive duo, clearing out most pushes with ease. The Knight and the Guards with the Musketeer provide support.

Goblin Barrel gives you that sneaky win condition. The overall strategy should be to defend well, chip away, and punish hard when the chance comes. You can trust the deck to be super reliable once you get the hang of the cycle. You can copy the deck here.

2. Executioner, Cannon, Valkyrie, Zap, Electro Spirit, Miner, Balloon, Skeletons

Average Elixir Cost: 3.0

A pretty quick cycle deck, but I prefer having the Cannon Evo to make this work. I’ve kept this combo to tackle all types of opponents, especially when you’re up against swarm-heavy decks, where Executioner and Valkyrie are just the best picks.

The main win condition combo would be Miner + Balloon. Still, whatā€™s great about this deck is that you donā€™t rely on one big push; you have multiple cards that deal good damage. Copy and test the deck out here.

3. Executioner, Archers, The Log, Mini PEKKA, Hog Rider, Lightening, Skeletons, Bats

Average Elixir Cost: 3.4

This is a classic Hog control deck with some punchy defensive tools. While the use case of Exe and Hog Rider is pretty evident, you can use the evolution of the Executioner to push away the counters for the Hog and help him target the tower.

Mini PEKKA and Archers give you consistent defense against tanks and air, while Log helps with chip and cleanup. Lightning is the clutch spell here, it’s great for removing supports behind tanks. I tested Freeze spell too; it also kind of works well. You can copy the deck here.
