How to Increase your Power quickly in Destiny: Rising
1. Level Up and Enhance your Weapons
Weapons are the backbone of your Power rating. And even the strongest characters feel clunky if they’re stuck swinging under-leveled gear. In the early game, Enhancement Prisms will be your best friend, instantly giving your weapons a stat boost without needing rare drops. It’s a quick and reliable way to push your Power higher, especially if you pour those resources into your main DPS weapon.

As you play, always keep an eye out for the green upgrade arrow in the Characters menu. This little icon is basically the game nudging you to say, “Hey, you’ve got more upgrades to make here!” Whether it’s a stronger weapon or an ability upgrade, ignoring that arrow means you’re leaving free Power on the table.
Later in the game, Gear Level upgrades become the big ticket. Duplicates of your favorite guns aren’t trash, cause they can be used to fuel your power. So feeding duplicates into your best weapons raises their Gear Level, unlocking bigger stat bumps and long-term value. Focus especially on mythics, exotics, or whatever weapon feels right for your playstyle.
2. Raise Your Relic Abilities
Relic Abilities are your Lighbearers’ flashy power moves, and they can push your characters from “pretty good” to “absolutely unstoppable.” Using items like Incandescence Tufts and more, you can upgrade these abilities and watch your Power climb in the process. So make sure to farm these resources regularly through events and dailies, and you’ll have enough to boost your power when needed.

Even better, new Relic Abilities unlock naturally as your Power rises. This creates a snowball effect: the more you invest, the faster your characters unlock fresh abilities, which in turn make them stronger and raise your Power further.
If you’re tempted to spread upgrades across your entire roster, resist the urge. Prioritize your main characters first, whether that’s your primary DPS or a healer you rely on in every fight. Because fully upgrading one core unit will carry you much further than half-leveling everyone else.
3. Equip and Upgrade your Artifacts
In Destiny: Rising, Artifacts are special pieces of equipment that slot into your characters to boost their stats and unlock powerful set effects. You’ll start farming Artifacts in Singularity: Order and Chaos, and while it may be tempting to wait for high-rank drops, don’t. Even a low-tier Artifact in the right slot is better than leaving it empty. The real magic comes from synergy:
- Wolf thrives with Nimble Veil, reducing damage after every movement ability.
- Healers excel with the Talisman of Luxuriance, gifting overshields to allies they heal.

On top of choosing the right sets, you’ll want to level up your Artifacts to strengthen their stats and effects. And once you’ve finished the campaign, gilding takes things to the next level, adding passive bonuses like more HP, shield capacity, and defense.
4. Level Up your Talent Tree
Talent Trees are the sleeper hit of Power progression. They may not look flashy at first glance, but every node you unlock pushes your character forward with meaningful buffs, ranging from raw stat increases to unique enhancements that give them an edge in battle.

One of the best parts of the Talent Tree system is that duplicate characters aren’t wasted. And each duplicate you pull can be funneled into your Talent Tree, unlocking more nodes and turning what seemed like a bad pull into long-term growth.
This is especially huge for 4-star characters. Filling out their nodes can make them surprisingly competitive, allowing them to serve as reliable backup units even against higher-tier heroes.
5. Don’t ignore the Little Things
Sometimes it’s not the flashy upgrades but the smaller, consistent actions that add up to big gains. Daily logins and redeem codes offer free value, often including Enhancement Prisms, Artifacts, or resource bundles, all of which accumulate over time.
Make a habit of checking all character menus, too. Many players overlook small stat boosts hidden behind icons. If you see a green arrow or an exclamation point, click it. Chances are, you’ve got an easy upgrade waiting for you.
And while it’s tempting to pour everything into raw damage, remember survivability is just as important as offense. So balance your builds so you can deal damage and stay alive long enough to keep the pressure on.
Final Thoughts
Boosting Power in Destiny: Rising isn’t about grinding one system excessively; it’s about weaving everything together. So make sure to enhance your weapons for immediate results, power up Relic Abilities for long-term growth, farm and level Artifacts for game-changing effects, and steadily grow your Talent Tree for lasting strength.
If you stay consistent with upgrades, keep an eye out for green upgrade arrows, and focus on synergy instead of randomness, you’ll find your Power Level climbing faster than you expect. And with these tips, your team will be ready to crush campaign bosses, dominate modes, and hold their ground in competitive content.
