List of Free Currencies in Destiny: Rising
1. Lumia Leaves
How to get Lumia Leaves in Destiny: Rising
Lumia Leaves are one of the most important free currencies in Destiny: Rising. And you can earn them in many ways that don’t cost you anything but time and effort. Completing chapter/story missions and character quests frequently rewards Lumia Leaves.

Also, Exploration activities like opening treasure chests scattered around maps, visiting points of interest, and getting reputation rewards from exploring maps hand out Leaves. Daily and weekly bounties are especially helpful, and while daily ones give smaller amounts, weekly tasks yield more. Triumphs, the Handbook challenges, and event rewards are solid sources too.
Where to use Lumia Leaves in Destiny: Rising
You don’t spend Lumia Leaves directly on banners, but you convert them into Bon Voyage Charms, which are needed to pull characters. Because banner pulls often cost a lot of Leaves, it pays to save them for limited-time banners that feature characters you want.
2. Bon Voyage Charms / Bon Voyage Charms L.E.
How to get Bon Voyage Charms in Destiny: Rising
Bon Voyage Charms and Bon Voyage Charms L.E. are the “draw tokens” you use to pull Lightbearers from banners. You can get them by converting 180 Lumia Leaves per Charm, which are obtained as above.

You can also earn Charms via Battle Pass rewards (free track), event rewards, and from some missions or quests. These free sources don’t match paid pulls in volume, but they provide a reliable flow of Charms if you stay active.
Where to use Bon Voyage Charms in Destiny: Rising
Use standard Charms for permanent banners (“The Rising Lights”) when you want to widen your roster. And save Bon Voyage L.E. Charms for limited or featured banners, which often have exclusive Lightbearers or better value. Since LE banners may rotate or have limited windows, using LE Charms tends to offer more bang for your free currency.
3. Glimmer, Enhancement Prisms, and Incandescent Tufts
How to get them in Destiny: Rising
Glimmer is a standard in-game currency you’ll see everywhere, from killing enemies, completing ordinary missions, exploring zones, and opening chests. It’s one of the easiest currencies to get because it ties closely to regular gameplay.

Enhancement Prisms and Incandescence Tufts, on the other hand, are materials used to upgrade weapons, relics, artifacts, or character abilities. You receive them from bounty and quest rewards, reputation rank rewards, dismantling lower-tier items, and occasionally as event or Battle Pass rewards.
Where to use them in Destiny: Rising
You’ll spend Glimmer mostly on upgrades from enhancing your Lightbearers, leveling up gear, tuning relics, and purchasing common items in NPC shops. While enhancement Prisms are used for modifying weapons, Incandescence Tufts are used to level up character abilities or signatures. Because these currencies are used so often, it’s good to conserve them for upgrades that will make a real difference.
4. Artifactual Dust and Strange Coins
How to get them in Destiny: Rising
Artifactual Dust is earned by dismantling artifacts or from Singularity: Chaos, while Strange Coins come from both Singularity: Order and Chaos runs. Since these currencies are tied to endgame activities, you’ll gather them naturally while farming high-level content.

Where to use them in Destiny: Rising
Dust is combined with Glimmer to level up artifacts, while Strange Coins can be exchanged at the Artifacts Exchange store or spent at the Paraverse for powerful upgrades. Both are long-term currencies designed to help you scale into late-game challenges.
5. Translation Credits and SPI Tokens
How to get them in Destiny: Rising
Translation Credits drop from Shifting Gates, while SPI Tokens come from Pack SPI Drills. Both require steady participation in specific activities, but they’re relatively easy to gather once you make those modes part of your routine.
Where to use them in Destiny: Rising
Credits are used in the Shifting Gates store, and SPI Tokens can be traded in the Pack Exchange store. They’re niche currencies, but the shops they’re tied to often offer valuable upgrade resources.
6. Battle Pass Tokens and Weapon Tokens
How to get them in Destiny: Rising
Both of these are tied directly to the Battle Pass. By climbing through tiers, whether on the free or premium track, you’ll earn a mix of Tokens. The Regular Battle Pass Tokens are fairly common, while Weapon Tokens appear less often but are highly valuable.
Where to use them in Destiny: Rising
Tokens go into the Rarities Trove store for rare items, while Weapon Tokens are spent in the Exotic Arsenal store for powerful weapons. For players who stay active during the season, these currencies feel like steady rewards for long-term dedication.
7. Light Crystals, Fortuna Crystals, and Fortuna Dust
How to get them in Destiny: Rising
These three are all tied to the gacha system. Pulling duplicate characters gives Light Crystals, while duplicate weapons and characters can yield Fortuna Crystals. Fortuna Dust, on the other hand, comes from drawing duplicate lower-value items. Together, they’re byproducts of chasing new Lightbearers or gear.
Where to use them in Destiny: Rising
Light Crystals are used to level up Talent Trees of duplicate characters. And Fortuna Crystals and Dust each have their own exchange shops where you can trade for valuable resources or items. If you’re rolling banners often, you’ll see these pile up quickly.
8. Bright Dust and Bright Pigments
How to get them in Destiny: Rising
Both Bright Dust and Bright Pigments are cosmetic-focused currencies. They drop from gacha pulls when you get item rewards instead of characters, and can also come from Battle Pass or exchange shops.
Where to use them in Destiny: Rising
These currencies are spent in the Cosmetics Store to unlock skins, outfits, and other cosmetic upgrades. They don’t affect gameplay but are key if you want your Lightbearers to stand out visually.

Silver
How to get Silver in Destiny: Rising
Silver is the premium currency in Destiny: Rising, and unlike other currencies, you can’t farm it through gameplay. The only way to acquire Silver is by purchasing it with real money through the in-game store. Occasionally, special bundles or promotions may provide bonus Silver alongside other rewards, but its primary source remains direct purchases.

Where to use Silver in Destiny: Rising
Silver is used to unlock premium content. This includes purchasing exclusive cosmetics, premium Battle Pass tracks, and limited shop items that aren’t available through free currencies. Because Silver is tied to real money, it’s best to reserve it for cosmetics or premium rewards that can’t be obtained any other way, especially if you’re trying to maximize the value of your purchases.
