eFootball 2025 English League Selection Mar ’25: Pack Review and Top picks to consider

Picks from the PL!

eFootball 2025 brings the March 2025 edition of the League Selection packs, with one of them being the English Stars. Just like the Spanish League Selection, although I wanted a couple of them from the pack, I had to pull plenty of players from it and, hence, tested out several new players.

On that note, let me share my thoughts on the top picks you should consider from this pack, along with a brief overview of the other players available in the English League Selection Mar ’25 pack in eFootball 2025.

eFootball 2025 English League Selection Mar ’25: Top 5 picks to consider

1. Ibrahima Konate

  • Position: CB
  • Playing Style: Build Up

Another card which tells you not to believe the overall rating. Konate has to be the standout defender in this pack, offering a perfect blend of physicality, defensive game, and aerial ability, and it even gets better when you allocate points on your own.

On the ball, yes, for a build-up defender, it might seem a little on the lower side when it comes to buildup, but you have this guy for pure defending. You can push his pace up higher, chopping down those defensive and aerial stats, and make him polished at every defensive area.

2. Sandro Tonali

  • Position: DMF
  • Playing Style: Anchor Man

Tonali is the kind of player who quietly runs the show in midfield. He’s not flashy, but boy, is he effective. He is not just a defensive beast, he’s got the technical ability to contribute in attack, too. Breaking up play, recycling possession, and starting attacks.

You can call him a mini-Busquets; he just lacks that dribbling flair the Spanish legend had. What I love about this card is how balanced he feels. Yes, the heading part is a miss, but if you still pair him with a tall midfielder, it’s an easy fix for this problem.

3. Maxence Lacroix

  • Position: CB
  • Playing Style: Build Up

Out of the blue, KONAMI brings this card to us, and if you are particularly fond of those rapid CBs like Araujo, a mini version is with Lacroix. Pace hitting the 90s for a CB is a fever dream for sure; he can easily track back and get the ball.

Just like Konate, he has no weaknesses. Since he is tall, you can clip those heading attributes to distribute to other areas that you find important. Might not be the best pure defender, as you need to train him with some skills, but he ticks the boxes you need.

4. Kevin De Bruyne

  • Position: AMF
  • Playing Style: Creative Playmaker

Let’s be honest, this card is easily the top pick for the players. This card might not have the pace to burn past defenders to fit the current meta, but who needs that when you’ve got passing and vision that can slice through any defense?

Apart from Stamina and Heading, I don’t see any weakness in his game. De Bruyne is your pure AMF. His through balls are good, and on the ball, he is very composed, although not super fast, so you can use finesse dribbling to drop back defenders, too.

5. Pedro Neto

  • Position: RWF
  • Playing Style: Prolific Winger

My final pick, Neto, is the kind of winger who’ll get you off your seat. Quick, skillful, and always looking to take on defenders. Sure, his finishing can be a bit hit-or-miss, but his ability to create chances and stretch defenses more than makes up for it.

The overviews of other players are also mentioned below:

  • Pedro Porro (RB/Offensive Wingback): An attacking full-back who loves to get forward and support the attack. Always positioned well to provide width and deliver crosses.
  • Marco Asensio (CF/Deep-Lying Forward): Pretty decent deep-role striker, better suited at SS to link play and create chances. Decent stats but isn’t a top-tier card.
  • Matz Sels (GK/Offensive Goalkeeper): Sels is a no-nonsense keeper who’s reliable when it comes to shot-stopping. But those catching numbers don’t seem promising, so buff it up a little.
  • Mikkel Damsgaard (LWF/Roaming Flank): Card for dribblers, but those aren’t world-class numbers, mind you. A card I suggest skipping.
  • Georginio Rutter (CF/Deep-Lying Forward): A decent forward who can contribute to buildup play and hold up the ball. Simply lacks the finisher instincts needed to be a top-tier striker.
  • Lewis Cook (CMF/Orchestrator): Someone who can do a bit of everything but doesn’t excel in any particular area. Reliable in breaking up play and keeping possession, but that’s about it.

Is it worth pulling players from the English League Selection Mar ’25 pack in eFootball 2025

The English League Selection Mar ’25 pack in eFootball 2025 offers a decent value, I can say. While the players may not have the flashiest overalls, some cards come with solid stats that can make a difference on the pitch.

Konate and Tonali I see as the worthy spins, but risking 1000-odd coins for that seems to be a bad gamble. Compared to the Spanish pack, the English League Selection is of a lower value, so I recommend opting for the former.
