eFootball 2026 brings back a familiar trio with the Epic Italian League Guardians pack, featuring Alessandro Nesta, Clarence Seedorf, and Javier Zanetti. While all three cards have appeared before, these are updated versions with slight stat upgrades.
So the question here isn’t just whether these cards are good; we already know they are, but whether these refreshed versions are worth going for, or if they still fall into the “seen it before” category.
eFootball 2026 Epic Italian League Guardians players
Alessandro Nesta
- Position: CB
- Playing Style: Destroyer
- Showtime Skill: Long-reach Tackle and Aerial Fort
Nesta’s face card stats and overall skill set are honestly as flawless as it gets for a centre-back. The biggest highlight here is easily the Showtime combination of Aerial Fort and Long Reach Tackle, just like his AC Milan card, which I am a huge fan of, which covers both aerial dominance and ground defending at an elite level.
Defensively, everything is maxed where it matters. Awareness, engagement, and tackling are all top-tier, and those numbers, even though toned down, look amazing. The speed and acceleration hit the 90s, which removes one of the few weaknesses older CB profiles usually have.

Aerially, this card is just dominant. Even if the raw heading stat doesn’t look crazy, Aerial Fort boosts his effectiveness to the point where he wins duels far more consistently than expected. There’s always been talk about his leg length, but in-game, it rarely feels like an issue.
His positioning and defensive animations make up for it, and this version only strengthens that further. Overall, this feels like a complete, endgame CB with no real weakness left to exploit.
Suggested Skills: One Touch Pass, Long Throw, Captaincy
Suggested Booster(s): Shutdown, Defending, Aerial

Clarence Seedorf
- Position: CMF
- Playing Style: Box-to-Box
- Showtime Skill: Long-reach Tackle and Phenomenal Pass
This Seedorf card leans fully into what makes him special, being effective in every phase of midfield play. The addition of Phenomenal Pass alongside Long Reach Tackle gives him one of the best balanced skill combinations you can have on a Box-to-Box, which the Real Madrid card didn’t have.
till, just like his old card, the passing is excellent, especially the low pass, and the Phenomenal Pass is again handy. Dribbling is smooth enough to carry the ball under pressure, and physically, he easily holds his own well in midfield duels.

Defensively, his numbers are strong, too. Even with a CMF build I made, his defensive stats are in the 90s, and given that he comes with Long Reach Tackle, he can actively win the ball back and disrupt play consistently. Add to that his stamina, and he easily lasts the full 90 without dropping intensity.
Compared to Lothar Matthäus, I feel Matthäus still edges him as the better all-rounder overall, but Seedorf feels slightly better in terms of dribbling smoothness and physical dominance. He’s not built to dominate aerially or be a primary goal scorer.
Suggested Skills: Heading, Aerial Superiority, Sliding Tackle, Pinpoint Crossing, Fighting Spirit

Javier Zanetti
- Position: RB
- Playing Style: Offensive Fullback
- Showtime Skill: Fortress and Phenomenal Pass
This Zanetti card is essentially a refined version of the free card we received, in case you picked him with the Festive Season Selection Contract. Well, in simple terms, he is an incredibly reliable and consistent fullback.
He plays like an engine on the flank. He overlaps constantly, tracks back without delay, and rarely feels out of position. The addition of Phenomenal Pass is nice. With Fortress already there, that’s a new skill added, although it would have been interesting to see something like Edged Crossing.

He’s not a pure attacking fullback, but that’s not his role. Instead, he excels in being clean on the ball, dependable in defense, and consistent across all phases of play. His defensive side is the best, but being an offensive fullback, the bombing forward needs work, and hence I have adjusted progression to support that.
Suggested Skills: Through Passing, One Touch Pass, Heading, Aerial Superiority, Low Lofted Pass

Splendid pack here, good for those seeking some defensive combinations. Still, I won’t rate it too high, since there are some better packs on the way, and my suggestion is to always save some coins now.
