eFootball 2026 continues its run of special releases with the Epic and Show Time Breakthrough Pass B pack, bringing back upgraded versions of some familiar legends while introducing a new gameplay mechanic. Headlining the pack are Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Lothar Matthäus, both returning with refreshed versions alongside Show Time cards of Julián Álvarez and Enzo Fernández.
Yeah, so this pack is for all the ones who waited for King Kalle to arrive. With a mix of some strong Epics and Show Time cards, the big question is whether this pack offers enough value to justify the spin. Let’s take a closer look.
eFootball 2026 Epic and Show Time Breakthrough Pass B players
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge
- Position: CF
- Playing Style: Goal Poacher
- Showtime Skill: Phenomenal Finishing and Blitz Curler
There’s always been something special about Rummenigge’s player ID in eFootball. It’s honestly hard to explain until you actually use him. He’s just incredibly easy to play with. The way he receives the ball, turns, and accelerates forward feels very smooth, and once he gets going, defenders really struggle to catch him.
I’ve used his Captain Tsubasa version for a long time, and later the Germany card as well, so there’s a good reference point here. Compared to those versions, this one does feel like a noticeable upgrade in a few areas.
The pace and acceleration are still endgame for a striker, but what stands out more is how comfortable he feels on the ball. His dribbling and balance allow him to hold possession, turn quickly, and attack space without feeling stiff. Finishing gets a good boost here.

Inside the box, he’s very reliable, and the kicking power helps a lot with driven shots as well. The weak foot usage is also very good, which means he doesn’t feel predictable when shooting from different angles. Aerially, he’s decent enough too, not dominant but capable when crosses come in.
The Blitz Curler on this card is a miss, I’d say; the curl is on the lower side, and from the gameplay, this is a big miss. I think Momentum Dribbling or Acceleration Burst would have been amazing, but I’m sure they are saving it for a different card of his.
Another small thing I’ve always noticed with Rummenigge cards is the aggression during pressing. His defensive stats are slightly above average for a CF, and you can actually see that sometimes, when he presses defenders, he occasionally steals the ball and turns it into a quick goal.
Lothar Matthäus
- Position: CMF
- Playing Style: Box-to-Box
- Showtime Skill: Phenomenal Pass and Fortress
Matthäus continues to be one of the most complete midfielders in the game. Personally, he has always been my favorite Box-to-Box midfielder in eFootball, so I was tempted to spin for this pack as well. Compared to the Captain Tsubasa version, which was more of a DMF, this card feels more natural in that B2B role.
Passing is still the biggest strength here. Low passes touching the high 90s with excellent lofted passing, which wasn’t the case back then, this is a great change. Defensively, he remains strong as well.

Awareness, tackling, and engagement can still push close to the 90s depending on the build, so he’s more than capable of winning the ball back. That balance between passing and defending is what makes him such a safe midfield option.
One thing I’ve always liked about Matthäus cards is the occasional attacking threat. Even if the finishing numbers don’t look crazy, his kicking power and positioning allow him to score from outside the box or arrive late into attacking moves.
Julián Álvarez
- Position: CF
- Playing Style: Goal Poacher
- Showtime Skill: Low Screamer and Acceleration Burst
This might be my pick from the pack, which might surprise some people. For a ground-based forward, Álvarez looks extremely exciting. The profile is built around quick movements, agility, and sharp attacking runs.

Offensive awareness and acceleration are both very high; this is something that is always very important for a striker. Adding as a bonus is the dribbling set, which is again excellent for his role. Tight possession, ball control, and balance are on point, so carrying the ball won’t be an issue.
He’s also small and agile, which naturally helps him slip past defenders more easily. Finishing numbers are strong, and combined with high kicking power, his shots will have no problem. The Show Time combo of Low Screamer and Acceleration Burst is a good one here; I feel it is better than that of Rumme.
Enzo Fernández
- Position: CMF
- Playing Style: Box-to-Box
- Showtime Skill: Phenomenal Pass
A decent card overall, but this one needs to be used correctly. Enzo isn’t really the defensive type of Box-to-Box midfielder, so expecting him to constantly win the ball back like someone such as Lothar Matthäus would be the wrong approach.

Where he shines is clearly on the ball. Ball control, tight possession, and passing are all excellent here. The low and lofted passes touching the mid-90s make him very comfortable during build-up play, especially if you like moving the ball quickly between midfield and attack.
Dribbling is also quite good for a CMF, and that actually helps a lot when progressing the ball forward. Instead of just passing and standing still, he can carry the ball through midfield spaces and move the attack up the pitch himself.
Best pick from the Epic and Show Time Breakthrough Pass B pack in eFootball 2026
Okay, how will I rate this? I see three endgame picks here. Easily. Very strong cards purely on numbers alone, so it is a good pack to spin for. But my controversial, slightly maybe, take on this pack is Alvarez is the best all round pick on offer here, and might be the strongest “creative” Goal Poacher card.
Rummenigge’s stats for a potential 108 card are quite okayish; rapid and physical are his strengths. I might be crazy to say this, but he might get an even better card down the line with better Show Time skills, so my bets will be on that one.
Here’s my final cards tier list and pack rating.
| Tier | Players |

| SSS (Endgame) | Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Lothar Matthäus, Julián Álvarez |
| SS (Excellent) | Enzo Fernández |
