eFootball 2026 continues to refresh its Epic lineup with the Epic Italian Midfielders pack, bringing back three legendary names in new versions. Headlining the pack are Michel Platini, Roberto Donadoni, and Demetrio Albertini, all of whom have appeared in the game before but now return with updated builds.
This is a pretty balanced midfield on offer, multiple styles on offer. But with these legends already having previous versions in the game, the big question is whether these updated cards bring enough improvement to justify spending your Coins. Let’s break it down.
eFootball 2026 Epic Italian Midfielders players
Michel Platini
- Position: AMF
- Playing Style: Creative Playmaker
- Showtime Skill: Momentum Dribbling and Phenomenal Finishing
Another very solid attacking midfielder card. Creative Playmakers sometimes don’t excite everyone because of how the playstyle behaves in-game, but looking at the profile, this one looks very complete.
The dribbling side is excellent. Ball control, tight possession, and dribbling are all strong, and Momentum Dribbling is a really useful Show Time skill, one of my personal favorites. It helps him glide past defenders a bit easier, and you can also chip points off dribbling, but he still sits in the mid 90s range.
On the other hand, the Phenomenal Finishing skill here is a solid offering. Because of that, building him slightly more attacking, trying him as an SS, could actually work really well.
Passing is obviously a major strength as well. Physically, he might feel slightly lighter compared to some modern midfielders, but that’s usually expected with this type of technical playmaker. You might offer some points there. Speed and Acceleration are comfortable, so overall a wonderful card, a potential 109-rated.

Roberto Donadoni
- Position: CMF
- Playing Style: Box-to-Box
- Showtime Skill: Visionary Pass and Momentum Dribbling
This one is a slightly weird card when you first look at it. On paper, he’s a Box-to-Box CMF, but the overall profile doesn’t really feel like a typical central midfielder. Or maybe, he never was supposed to be this card, because everywhere he has arrived was as a technical winger.
So here too, there are the same traits, but compromising them is this playstyle. When used as an wide midfielder, the card suddenly makes a lot more sense. The dribbling, speed, and attacking movement all come together much better there.
If you build him that way, you’re basically turning him into a pure wide attacking option rather than asking him to handle midfield duties. That also allows you to take advantage of Momentum Dribbling, which is well suited for an attacker.
Then there’s Visionary Pass too; this is a good recipe to drift wide, beat defenders, and apply a cross. So yes, go with this style, and preferably use the build I suggested.

Demetrio Albertini
- Position: DMF
- Playing Style: Orchestrator
- Showtime Skill: Phenomenal Pass
Another decent card, not many shining numbers though. Still, Albertini fits that classic deep midfielder role who focuses on controlling possession, moving the ball, and putting in defensive shifts as well.
So now, this card has the clear strength of being the passing master, which is exactly what you want from this role. High 90s easily, which you can tone down to allocate points to other parts. Skill set is really great for the offensive side of things, but the good defensive numbers need to be looked at too.
I gave him more defensive skills, since he can put up with that shift with good physical attributes. He isn’t completely limited defensively. The defensive numbers are decent enough for a DMF, and the height advantage compared to players in his playstyle, like Andrea Pirlo, helps a little in aerial situations as well.

I’m not leaning on this pack. Yes, Platini is such a stellar card here, but the other two feel like an afterthought. I would say you wait for better packs to come.
