Cloud Strife (DPS)

The main protagonist of Final Fantasy VII, Cloud Strife, is currently considered the game’s strongest DPS character. He has exceptional single-target damage abilities against enemies, making him an S-Tier character and giving him an edge in boss fights. Cloud is also a F2P-friendly character, as he can use the Buster Sword, a free 5-Star Weapon, to advance through the game’s story with ease once it’s fully upgraded.

Maximizing Cloud’s strength is recommended by equipping him with powerful weapons such as Murasame, Hardedge, and Apocalypse. In our opinion, the Murasame Great sword is a great choice because it inflicts powerful Physical Lightning damage on a single enemy, while also enhancing your character’s Physical Attack and the potency of Lightning abilities. Additionally, the Lightning element is currently the most effective element in the game against almost all types of enemies.

Aerith Gainsborough (Support)

Final Fantasy enthusiasts hold Aerith Gainsborough in high regard as a beloved hero known for her exceptional healing abilities. As fans of the series would know, her proficiency in healing remains unchanged in Ever Crisis. Aerith’s healing capabilities and “Healing Wind” limit break make her a valuable asset during intense battles, earning her a spot in the S-Tier as a support character.

To enhance her potential as a healer, Fairy Tale is the optimal weapon choice. Mythril Rod is also a useful option if you want to develop her as a healer and buffer for the team. Although Full Metal Staff can serve as a Sub-DPS weapon, we highly recommend building her as a dedicated healer.

Barret Wallace (Tank/Sub-DPS)

Barret Wallace is the leader of Avalanche, a group that opposes Shinra’s unethical use of mako energy. He is known for his exceptional tanking skills and high HP, making him incredibly durable in prolonged battles. He is also capable of dealing substantial damage to his enemies, making him a versatile Sub-DPS. Despite his tank-like attributes, Barret is more than just a defensive player and is a valuable asset to any team.

For the best tank build for Barret with strong offensive capabilities, it’s recommended to use a Solid Bazooka. This weapon can increase Barret’s HP and enhance both physical and magical attacks. For a buffer build, an Assault Gun can improve the defense of all allies and provide healing while also boosting the effectiveness of healing abilities and increasing Earth Resistance. If you’re going for a debuffer build, the W Machine weapon is recommended as it can repeatedly lower the target’s defenses, making it easier to defeat them.

Matt Winsord (Sub-DPS/Support)

In the world of Final Fantasy, there exists a character named Matt Winsord who is featured in both Final Fantasy The First Soldier and Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis as a playable unit. Matt possesses weapons and abilities that allow him to serve as both a damage dealer and a healer, making him a viable option for players seeking an alternative to Cloud or Aerith.

It should be noted, however, that Matt does not excel in either of these roles and is best utilized as a secondary DPS supporter for your team. Matt’s optimal weapon is the Stingray. This versatile weapon is designed for single-target combat and deals significant Magical non-elemental damage with a chance for critical hits. Additionally, it reduces the magic defense of enemies. Equipping the Stingray enhances Glenn’s Physical Attack and improves his Wind Resistance.
