But as of Chapter 5 Season 1, there is just one place to look at when you are looking for Capture Point locations in Fortnite and that is the floating island which spawns later in the game.
After you’ve successfully claimed this location, for a certain amount of time you’ll be able to see chests and enemies highlighted around the place. This will provide you or your team with a very good advantage as you’ll be able to get more loot from these chests or even ambush your enemies who will have no idea that you are coming.
How to claim a Capture Point in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1
To claim a Capture Point successfully, all you need to do is stand in the circle formed around the flag close to the ground. As soon as you or the members of your team get inside this circle, a meter will appear on your screen and you’ll need to stand inside this circle till the meter gets full. After it gets full, you will claim the location and a lot of loot will spawn on the floor.
If you are playing as a team, the loot will spawn accordingly which means there will be enough for everyone. The meter will take around a minute to fill, and if some enemy steps into the circle along with you at the same time the meter will start going down. This will prevent the location from getting claimed by you and the only way you can stop this is by eliminating the enemy or by luring them out of the circle by any means.
