Moving train now roams the island in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1: Underground

Fortnite’s Chapter 5 Season 1 unveils an exhilarating addition to the gameplay dynamics – a dynamic, moving train that introduces an innovative Capture the Train objective. This exciting feature invites players to board a train traversing the expansive island, creating an adrenaline-pumping experience as they strive to capture loot and eliminate adversaries.

Engaging in this objective opens up a plethora of strategic opportunities. Players can not only enjoy the scenic journey across the map but also actively participate in combat scenarios while leaping between train carriages. This not only adds an extra layer of intensity to the gameplay but also provides a unique vantage point for tactical maneuvers.

Loadout Customizations are now available along with Weapon mods

Now, crafting the ideal loadout goes beyond the conventional as Mod Benches provide an array of modifications that can significantly enhance the player’s weapon’s performance. These mods range from reducing recoil to increasing magazine capacity and even changing optics, providing players with unprecedented control over their arsenal. However, strategic planning is key, as not every mod is compatible with every weapon.

Bars, the sought-after in-game currency, become a valuable resource in this new customization era. It’s crucial to spend them wisely, selecting mods that complement your playstyle and maximize your effectiveness on the battlefield. The dynamic nature of these mods introduces a layer of complexity, allowing players to fine-tune their loadouts based on personal preferences and strategic considerations.

While mod-compatible weapons are not sold by characters or vending machines, keep an eye out for loot. If you would like different mods than the ones that came with your weapon, you can still replace them at Mod Benches in exchange for Bars. Try out different combos to see what works best for you.

Fortnite Big Bang Battle Pass brings Peter Griffin, Solid Snake, and more

Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid and Peter Griffin from Family Guy are coming to Fortnite with the Chapter 5 Season 1 Battle Pass. Peter will also be bringing other cosmetic items inspired by the popular TV show, and he will now have a Swole appearance.

Other Battle Pass outfits will feature new characters named Oscar, Vengeance Jones, Nisha, Montague, and Valeria. An easter egg in the launch trailer also suggests that Chapter 5 will feature a collaboration with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Grapple Blade, new weapons and consumables in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1

In Chapter 5 Season 1, eight new weapons are introduced along with a Cluster Clinger throwable explosive. Additionally, a Ballistic Shield item has been added to the game, which includes a pistol to help you defend yourself.

The new item is a grapple blade, which works exactly like a grappler, drawing players to their intended location and propelling them toward it. However, the new item also features a close-range attack in which an adjacent opponent is eliminated by spinning the blade. You can use the shield while shooting the pistol at the same time. The Ballistic Shield has infinite Health, but it can only withstand so much damage before it’ll temporarily be knocked from in front of you.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 brings a new way to build and customize vehicles in Battle Royale

In addition, players will be able to use Rocket League vehicles in Fortnite along with their decals if they are using the same Epic Games account to play Fortnite. The new season offers players even more options for creating and customizing their own cars to drive around the Battle Royale island.

First, a new SUV named Grandeur Trailsmasher has been added to the island for you to test drive. Secondly, as a reward for completing a Battle Pass, players will be able to unlock a Scorpion car body and its decals to customize the vehicle before they take it for a spin.

When you enter a Sports Car in Fortnite Battle Royale or a relevant custom island, you will see it transform into your equipped car. The Sports car will remain your equipped car’s appearance for the duration of the match, even if you get out and someone else gets in.

Players can earn Society Medallions by defeating bosses in Fortnite

There are five bosses on the island: Peter Griffin from Family Guy, Oscar, Nisha, Montague, and Valeria. Upon defeating a boss, you will drop a Society Medallion; keep these in your inventory to have your Shield regenerate over time. The more Medallions you have in your inventory, the more Shield you will regenerate each tick.

A Society Medallion in your inventory will indicate you on your opponent’s map, and the more Medallions you own, the more accurate the radius around your current location. You cannot reach the summit without encountering opponents along the way.

LEGO Mode, Rocket Racing, and Festival Game modes coming in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 update

One of the three new game modes that Chapter 5 Season 1 offers is a direct partnership with LEGO; as demonstrated in the Big Bang live event, players will be able to customize their characters into their LEGO versions and explore an open survival world in this highly anticipated addition to Chapter 5.

In addition, a new Rocket Racing mode has also been added, allowing players to drive their Rocket League vehicles and compete in competitive races around a track.

The Weeknd, who will perform at the game’s launch, is the first of several well-known artists whose rhythmic patterns players must match when pressing buttons in the Festival mode. Other music-themed game modes include Lady Gaga, Linkin Park, and others.
