Fortnite keeps on adding new features for its players to try with every new season and update. Every new season brings in a surplus of new content for the players to try out. Recently Chapter 5 Season 1 of Fortnite was released and Epic Games has added new features, weapons, skins, and so on to the game. One of the new features is that you can now make modifications to your weapons in Fortnite. For this, you need to look for Mod Benches. So in this guide, we are going to talk about all the Mod Bench locations and how to use them in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1.
Where to find the Mod Bench in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1
Even before this, a lot of weapons already had a lot of modifications from the get-go. But with this update, you’ll be able to remove, add, or even change these modifications to your liking. There are a total of six Mod Bench locations available in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 and you can see them marked precisely in the image attached below.
They are also not so easy to reach as they can be found inside high-security vaults only. To open these vaults, you’ll need Society Medallions for which you’ll further need to fight against various bosses on the map. Here is our thorough guide on how to get these Society Medallions easily.
Now after you’ve successfully got these medallions, all you need to do is go down to the vault and open it by standing near the scanner at the door. Here you’ll find a Mod Bench waiting for you inside which you can use to your liking.
The last Mod Bench can be found in the basement of the house on the Floating Island which spawns only after the fourth Storm of the match which is pretty last minute. So if you want to modify your weapons, all the other locations are recommended for that purpose early in the game itself.
Mod Bench modifications are now available in Fortnite
There are a total of four Mod Bench modifications available namely optic mods, magazine mods, under barrel mods, and barrel mods. You’ll need gold bars to equip a mod. Each mod costs 75 gold bars and you can choose amongst these four choices as to which one fits your needs the best.
Other than Common weapons, every other weapon on Fortnite comes with pre-existing modifications which you can remove at these locations for no extra cost and then modify them further according to your liking.
