FPL 2021/22 Gameweek 3 Watchlist: 5 Fantasy players to watch out for

5 players to transfer in for the next gameweeks!

After the end of FPL 2021/22 Gameweek 2, there has been a lot of share of points with the premium assets of Mohammed Salah and Bruno Fernandes failing to deliver huge points. Apart from the popular picks, there are quite a number of players, who have impressed over the weekend with points and underlying stats. The onset of good fixtures along with their form can really turn them into good replacements for the underperforming assets of the fantasy team. All the managers are trying to stabilize their teams with suitable options before the price hikes. In this FPL 2021/22 Gameweek 3 Watchlist, we will be looking at 5 Fantasy players, who could become future transfer targets, carrying their good run.

FPL Fantasy 2021/22 Gameweek 3 Watchlist

1. Tino Livramento (Defender) – 4 million

Probably most of the smart FPL managers have started looking for the replacement of Tsimikas as Robertson might get back into the game from gameweek 3 and if not then from gameweek 4. Therefore, looking at the transfer budget Tino Livrmento could be the best replacement or best bench option at that price. Livrmento has started both the games for Southampton as a right-wing defender and he can also play as a central defender.

In the next ten gameweeks, Southampton will face 6 teams with FPL difficulty level 2 (which includes- Newcastle, Wolves, Burnley, Watford, Aston Villa and, Norwich) and 2 teams with FPL difficulty level 3. As soon as Tsimikas will lose his place in the team, many FPL managers will rush for Tino Livrmento and he is already transferred in by 120K (approx) FPL managers. Hence, his price is excepted to start rolling from gameweek 4 onwards.

2. Raphinha (Midfielder) – 6.5 million

Popular pre-season target Raphinha produced a moment of magic to equalize against Everton cooling his effort beyond the reach of Jordan Pickford. It only seemed a matter of time before he opened his account for the new season after registering two big chances involvements against when United on the opening weekend amongst midfielders. He ranks joint top with Sadio Mane for shots during gameweek 2 each on 6. No teammate compared to his 8 shots or his 0.56 expected goals figure across both matches.

Leeds faces just one big six sides between now and gameweek 10 with six of those eight fixtures given a difficulty rating of two but the issue with Raphinha along with a number of other players including Mohamed salah is the uncertainty over quarantine rules following international matches.

If unresolved players returning from red list countries like Brazil and Egypt could be unavailable in gameweek 4 after the first international break but Premier League chiefs are reportedly in talks with the UK government to plea for exemptions. So, hopefully, we’ll get more clarity on that situation before the gameweek 3 deadline.

3. Adama Traore (Midfielder) – 6 million

Despite a slow start in the FPL point-scoring race, Adama Traore can be a good prospect to consider looking at his performance in the last two games and the upcoming fixture for the Wolves. Traore has smashed seven shots from inside of the box, with expected goals scoring figure 1.45 (xG), but unfortunately, none of them was converted. He has attempted 5 assists, with an expected assist figure of 0.34 (xA), however, Wolves are yet to open their score sheet.

But we can expect the change of situation looking at the quite favorable fixture up next. In their next 12 gameweeks they have 7 teams rated as to difficulty level 2 (which includes Watford, Bretford, Southampton, New Castle, Crystal Palace and, Burnley) and 3 teams with difficulty level 3. This long favorable fixture could turn into a good run for Traore and catch the eye of FPL managers. On the other hand, he is only owned by 1.2% of FPL Managers therefore he will be a great differential as well.

4. Romelu Lukaku (Forward) – 11.5 million

Romelu Lukaku made a dream start to his premier league return opening the scoring against arsenal just 15 minutes into his second Chelsea debut after Reece James picked him out for a tap-in. Tallies of eight total shots and seven inside the box are both more than any other player has managed in-game with two so far. While only Mane, Calvert-Lewin and Havertz have equaled his two big chances enjoying a strong all-round game. The Belgian also created one of the big chances missed by kai Havertz and completed 19 out of his 20 passes.

But as good as Lukaku and Chelsea as a team was against the goodness fixtures against Liverpool, Spurs and, Man City in the next four gameweeks. Thus we are still leaning towards holding off from investment until their fixture swing. From gameweek seven onwards they have five consecutive matches against teams rated as a two on the FDR including home meetings with Southampton, Norwich, and, Burnley making that a good time to consider using the first wildcard.

5. D. Calvert-Lewin (Forward) – 8.1 million

Everton’s unbeaten start to the season continued with the two or draw against Leeds as D. Calvert-Lewin made it two into converting a penalty he’d won himself. No player has taken more than his four efforts on target during the gameweek so far with only mane able to match that tally. The Englishman leads the way for shots on target shots inside the box and expected goals across the opening two matches combined.

Rafa Benitez looks to be playing to cover Lewin’s strengths with Everton ranking amongst the top five teams for successful crosses so far and the addition of penalty duties can help him surpass his 2020-21 season tally of 16 goals with good fixtures remaining for the toffees over the next four game weeks including Burnley, Aston Villa and, Norwich. A swap from Danny Ings could be on the cards for gameweek 4 when his fixtures take a turn for the worst.
