Apart from the popular picks, there are quite a number of players, who have impressed over the weekend with points and underlying stats. The onset of good fixtures along with their form can really turn them into good replacements for the underperforming assets of the fantasy team. FPL Gameweek 22 Watchlist 2021/22
The watchlist is highly focused on those players who have double gameweek as well comparatively easy fixture.
1. Sergio Reguilon (Defender) – 5.4 million
Sergio Reguilon remains a key target after helping the Spurs to a clean sheet against Watford in their last premier league outing but the Spaniard didn’t feature in either of their two recent cup matches against Chelsea or Morecambe. Across each player’s respective last six matches only Salah, Kane, and Ronaldo have fired more than madison’s 21 shots meanwhile Son, Sterling, and Kane are the only players to land more than his 9 efforts on target and just five midfielders can better his tally of 12 attempted assists.
3. Lucas Moura (Midfielder) – 6.5 million
With the absence of Son and Bergwijn in the squad, Lucas Moura will find his name on the team sheet for DGW22 until or unless Conte has some other thoughts. The Brazilian winger has a double-digit haul of 17 points against Crystal Palace keeping direct involvement in all 3 goals of the game. In his last three gameweeks he has landed 5 shots-on-target out of 10 and scored 1 goal with a nonpenalty expected goals figure of 0.65 (xG) per 90 min. During the above-mentioned time, he has also provided 2 assists creating 2 big chances with an expected assist figure of 0.43 (xA) per 90 min.
Lucas Moura has a total of 15 touches (6.5/90m) in that time and created a considerable amount of pressure on the opponent defenders. With Heung-min Son now set to miss out through injury Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Kane are left as the two standout premium options for double gameweek 22. Whilst Manchester United as a team has been hit and miss, the Portuguese superstar has been directly involved in 5 goals over their last six matches averaging 6.5 FPL points per game. Since Ralf Rangnick took charge ahead of gameweek 15, Ronaldo’s 3.2 expected goals figure ranks top amongst forwards only Harry Kane has taken more shots in that time and the pair ranked joint second for shots in the box with 15 just trailing to Odsonne Edouard with 16.
United’s first opponent in double gameweek 22 is the Aston Villa side that has kept just 1 clean sheet in their last six matches they’ve considered 11 big chances in that time with six teams faring worse. Next up is Brentford who failed to keep a clean sheet in their last six matches conceding nine big chances.
5. Emmanuel Dennis (Forward) – 6.1 million
Don’t get confused with the yellow sign beside his name, he was on the training ground and should start both matches in double gameweek 22. The Nigerian International has left the field midway with a knock against Tottenham last weekend however he is all set for DGW22. In the last seven league matches, Dennis has scored 5 goals firing 15 shots (keeping 10 on target) with a non-penalty expected goals figure of xG 0.3 per 90 min. In the above-mentioned time, he has also provided 3 assists creating 4 big chances with an expected assist figure of xA 0.12 per 90 min.
