Genshin Impact Guide: Best Artifacts Build for Freminet

Best Artifacts Builds of Freminet!

Genshin Impact released a new playable 4-star character, Freminet, in Version 4.0. Kirara is a Cryo Claymore character whose his kit can dish out both Cryo-focused and Physical-focused damages. Freminet is currently the newest and current playable character that can fully utilize the Shatter reaction. As such Freminet can be used in both a Physical build and as a Cryo build. There are several options for Artifact Sets and Artifact stats for Freminet as each build and sub-stats depends on various amount of factors such as the way you build him and the team comps you will run him in. Regardless, here is a complete guide to the best Artifacts Build for Freminet in Genshin Impact.

Artifact Sets

4-piece: Pale FlameSets to built

Explanation: Freminet’s Best-in-Slot Artifact set if you are running him with a Physically focused build and team. The two-piece set increases his Physical DMG up to 25%. While the 4-piece bonus boosts up ATK as the bonus can stack up Freminet’s ATK buff. Since Freminet can frequently activate his Elemental Skill due to its low cool down, the 4-piece can easily boost his own personal damage potential. However do keep in mind that while this is a great 4-piece set, the damage output and overall viability compared to other Sets aren’t a big comparison.
2-Pieces: Physical DMG is increased by 25%.
4-Pieces: When an Elemental Skill hits an opponent, ATK is increased by 9% for 7s. This effect stacks up to 2 times and can be triggered once every 0.3s. Once 2 stacks are reached, the 2-set effect is increased by 100%.
4-piece: Golden TroupeSets to built

Explanation: For a Cryo focus build, this Artifact set is a perfect one for Freminet as the 2-piece increases his Elemental Skill DMG while the 4-piece further boosts the Elemental Skill DMG even if he cannot maintain the off-field bonus despite being an on-field unit.
2-Pieces: Increases Elemental Skill DMG by 20%.
4-Pieces: Increases Elemental Skill DMG by 25%. Additionally, when not on the field, Elemental Skill DMG will be further increased by 25%. This effect will be cleared 2s after taking the field.
2-Piece Combinations: Echoes of an Offering/Gladiator’s Finale/Vermillion Hereafter/Shimenawa’s Reminiscence/Piece Blizzard Strayer/Pale Flame/Bloodstained Chivalry:Sets to built

Explanation: If you cannot acquire good 4-piece sets and sub-stats then running 2-piece bonuses on him is recommended. Depending on how you are planning to build your Freminet, the 2-piece bonuses can do either way. For a Cryo-focused build, you would want to focus on getting a Cryo DMG Bonus and an ATK bonus. For a Physical Freminet build, focus on acquiring a Physical DMG bonus and/or ATK bonus. You can decide what to prioritize in terms of stats and needs for the build.
2-Piece Echoes of an Offering/Gladiator’s Finale/Vermillion Hereafter/Shimenawa’s Reminiscence: ATK +18%

2-Piece Blizzard Strayer: Cryo DMG Bonus +15%

2-Piece Pale Flame/Bloodstained Chivalry: Physical DMG +25%

Despite on the surface level, Freminet is dishing out Normal Attacks, his Shatter skill attacks contribute a big portion of his damage. As such Artifact Sets such as the 4-piece Gladiator’s Finale, Shimenawa’s Reminiscence, and Retracing Bolide are not viable options for Freminet so the Normal Attack buffs will not be as effective as Physical damage and Attack buffs.

As for a Cryo-focused build, unfortunately, Freminet cannot utilize the 4-piece Blizzard Strayer set as well. Even if Freminet has a Freeze focus team, the set will have lower potential due to Freminet’s Claymore attacks Shattering Frozen enemies which will ultimately not proc the Blizzard Strayer’s crit rate bonus. Although it is sufficient to say in a mono Cryo team, the set can actually be proc partially by maintaining Cryo aura on the enemies.

The 4-piece Marechaussee Hunter gives a big Crit rate bonus and can provide high potential DMG for Freminet. But despite that, Freminet does not have any innate means of changing and manipulating his HP and hence cannot proc the bonus.

Artifact Stats

Before we talk about the priority of Artifact stats, the first thing that should be focused on is how much Energy Recharge is sufficient for Freminet in order to proc his Elemental Burst. Freminet has a mid-range Elemental Burst cost (60 ER Cost). But ultimately the way that Lyney’s kit is built, he does not require to use his Elemental Burst as much. His main DMG, just like Ganyu and Yoimiya, is from CA shots. As such, you do not have to worry about fulfilling his ER needs.

Crit Rate/Crit DMG

  • For Freminet’s sub-stats, you should aim to prioritize Crit > ATK > ER. As Freminet is a DPS-focused unit you would want to stack as much Crit and ATK as possible, with ER being a secondary priority.
  • Freminet’s main damage does stack up when you activate his Elemental Burst and as such you would want to go for a decent level of Energy Recharge to proc his Burst. For a general safe spot, aim for at least 130% – 150% ER to generally get his Burst back to each rotation. The level goes a bit lower if you unlock Freminet’s Constellation 2 which lowers ER needs by 10 to 15 percent.
  • The Goblet’s main stat would generally vary depending on whether you are aiming to build Freminet as a Cryo unit or a Physical unit. Additionally, having Elemental Mastery is generally not something you want to aim for if you are building Freminet as a Physical DPS. But if you are planning to use him in a Cryo team (especially a Shatter reaction team), having EM can be beneficial.
