To briefly summarize Wriothesley’s kit and play style, he is a Normal Attack on-field DPS character who specializes in dishing out a high amount of Cryo damage when he uses his Elemental Skill. In this Genshin Impact guide, we will be focusing on the best weapons for Wriothesley to use in the game.

His kit acts similar to Wanderer once you enter your Elemental Skill mode and deal increased damage from your basic attacks. As such, his build will entirely depend on how you want to play him out but generally, you should look out for stats that provide ATK, Crit, and maybe EM. Wriothesley has a variety of weapons options to choose from that are viable to use.

Normal Attack hits have a 50% chance to earn the favour of the clouds, which actively seek out nearby opponents to attack for 15s, dealing 160% ATK DMG. Can only occur once every 30s.

When the character has 3 stacks or a third stack’s duration refreshes, 8 Energy will be restored. This Energy restoration effect can be triggered once every 12s.The sub-stat increases his crit dmg and naturally, you will have no problem stacking crit dmg anymore since his ascension provides plenty. Although this weapon is worth it for the sub-stats it provides. The passive isn’t well suited for Wriothesley.

Gains the Kagura Dance effect when using an Elemental Skill, causing the Elemental Skill DMG of the character wielding this weapon to increase by 12% for 16s. Max 3 stacks. This effect can be triggered once every 0.3s.The weapon is available for free after completing the required challenges in the Version 4.1 limited event Waterborne Poetry. At R5 it can be a viable option for Wriothesley as the Passive boosts NA and CA DMG. Although the sub-stat provides ER which isn’t much of a requirement for Wriothesley.

Normal Attack hits increase Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst DMG by 20% for 6s. Likewise, Elemental Skill or Elemental Burst hits increase Normal Attack DMG by 20% for 6s.The Battle Pass weapon is a decent option for Wriothesley. The sub-stat provides Crit and high Base ATk and the Passive increase Burst and Skill dmg as well as NA attacks.
