Cesar’s Workshop Quest Domain Puzzles Guide
- Attack the puppets when they pop out to secure them in place. Use a normal attack when the puppet jumps in order to lock them in place.
- To successfully complete the next puzzle, you need to engage with the contraption, which will trigger the appearance and motion of bear-shaped puppets. Among these puppets, one of them will emit a noticeable glow. After the puppets retreat back into their respective hats, your task is to strike the hat that conceals the bear with the glowing light. You’ll need to perform this action on both the left and right sides of the room.
- Walk upstairs and interact with the mechanism to start a tile puzzle. To solve the tile puzzle, start on one side, then make half a circle to the right, cross the moving tiles in the middle, and complete the circle on the other side.
Lyney Story Quest ACT I: In-Depth Review and Discussion
Lyney’s Characterization and Personality
Lyney has a long-awaited character along with Lynette back during the game launch when Genshin Impact released an amazing Travail trailer that briefly explains each Region’s future story theme and plot-tine while also showcasing upcoming playable characters in each region.
For Fontaine’s section, we were introduced to both Lyney and Lynette, the star twin magicians. As we finished the Archon Quest-line for Version 4.0 we finally can gauge what both the twins are like in terms of personality, backstory, and character dynamics.
Of course, the twins were spectacular in their own way, but Lyney has been a character that really stands out the most primarily due to his back-story and personality. His ties with the House of Hearth and his relationship with Arlecchino is a very interesting find, seeing as how he is shouldering the expectations of taking Arlecchino’s place in the House of Hearth. Nonetheless, he is no doubt a character shrouded in mystery, hiding his true personality and ideals through his fake charisma and charming magician tricks. Despite his flair and passion for magic, he still hides many secrets.
Overall Story Plot
In his Story Quest, Lyney opens up as a great magician who loves to wow the audience with his tricks. He learned all of his tricks from Cesar, the infamous magician who was wrongly accused of being the Phantom Weasel shortly after his not-so-unintentional death.
Lyney and Lynette both grew up partly learning the secrets of being a magician from Cesar himself and hence had a strong attachment towards him. This is why Lyney sets up the journey of investigating the true culprit of the identity of the Phantom Weasel, wanting to avenge his mentor and clear his name. This feels somewhat of a parallel to Navia’s whole story development back in the Archon Quests ACT I and ACT II.
Lyney being a magician does not let on more than he knows as he finally finds out the real identity of the Phantom Weasel but chooses to confront them until the last minute in order to pay tribute to his mentor Cesar by doing the risky trick that Cesar has done 10 years which caused his death. Of course, Lyney gracefully succeeds in doing the big trick and promptly wows the audience as we witness an amazing cutscene taking place.
Final Thoughts
Overall, despite being such a long story quest with many parts being played out, the whole investigation and mystery surrounding the true identity of the Phantom Weasel was worth almost 2 hours of gameplay. Not only that, we also get to witness Lyney’s back-story in addition to Lynette’s and see the true personality that he hides behind a fake charm and flirty personality.
